Premium All-Natural Pet Foods and Treats
Dr. Tim's offers honest, nutritionally sound kibble, wet foods, dietary supplements and freeze-dried treats designed for every life stage. The high-quality ingredients include low-ash protein along with the right blend of carbohydrates, fats and fibers to allow your pet to lead a healthy life.

Foods Made to Match Your Pet
When shopping for Dr. Tim's pet foods, you'll notice the labeling indicates an activity level. That's because they're made to complement your pet's lifestyle, with ideal ratios of protein, fat, carbohydrates and fibers to help her thrive. You'll find recipes that are specially formulated for active pets, low-key pets, extreme athletes and those in need of weight management.

ACTIVE: This food is designed for the sporting dog that's active more days than not—dogs who hunt or jog every day, herding dogs, police dogs and the like. It's made for maximum digestion, an important consideration for these dogs that's often overlooked. Protein types and levels, fat types and levels, and fiber sources are formulated to maximize performance and recovery.

CASUAL LIFESTYLE: This is a diet intended for the dog who lives a normal lifestyle—sleeping on the couch, running around the backyard or going on car rides, walks or hikes and basically just living the good life. The only regular exercise she might get is tail wagging when she sees you at the end of the day, or some loving nose nudges.

EXTREME ATHLETES: This food is for dogs who are serious about working nearly every day for long periods of time, such as sled dogs and dogs who hunt most days of the season. It's extremely high in fat, high in protein and low in carbs, with the highest levels of essential omega-3 fatty acids and loads of antioxidants. Performance, endurance and recovery are all enhanced.

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT: This diet is intended for the dog who has put on some extra weight. High protein allows your overweight dog to be more active, and moderate fat allows her to feel satiated so she doesn't beg—an essential part of the equation. The omega-3 and antioxidant profiles help reduce the inflammatory stress that's prevalent in an overweight dog, too.

Treats That Deliver
Dr. Tim's freeze-dried treats are formulated for both cats and dogs—perfect for multipet households. They're made from 100% real, USDA-inspected meats from Wisconsin. And since they're freeze-dried, you can give your pet all the nutrition and flavor of raw meat without any of the mess or inconvenience.
Top It Off With Nutrition
Dr. Tim's Flavor Booster is made of 100% real, USDA-inspected beef liver powder from Wisconsin that is freeze-dried to maintain more nutrients. It's perfect for use as a food topper to encourage pets to eat and enjoy their meals, which makes it a great choice for finicky dogs or those who are ill or tired of the same formula.

About Dr. Tim's
As a veterinarian and accomplished musher, Dr. Tim Hunt understood his dogs' need for a food that promotes stamina, endurance and performance through proper digestion. Armed with a cement mixer, a cache of ideas, and an aversion for other diets on the market, Dr. Tim took to his Michigan garage on a mission to formulate a food that replicated a natural, wild diet for his Alaskan Huskies. Today, Dr. Tim's focus has since expanded to bring an honest, nutritionally sound food—sourced only from North America's highest quality ingredients—to every dog.

My dogs love it
By Jackie on Apr 14, 2021
My vet recommend I feed my dogs food with gains but all the high protien feeds were grain free. I tried a couple but my Male dropped weight while on them. However weve been on this type for 2 bags now and hes actually gaining weight on this formula. Both dogs are highly active so this feed is working out well.

Love Dr. Tim’s Glacier
By JanaeUlva on Mar 8, 2021
I really like the Dr. Tim’s line of dog food. Glacier is what I’m feeding my house full of GSD! Turned on some friends to Glacier too. My one suggestion is to make the kibble size medium so it will work well for small, medium and large breeds. The kibble size is really too small for my Shepherds but they get by.

Amazing results
By Kris on Jul 31, 2020
I have two Vizslas who are incredibly finicky about their food and have very sensitive stomachs. I was feeding them ‘high quality’ grain free options that they wouldn’t eat and had constant digestion issues prior to switching. After much research, I cautiously switched their food to Dr. Tim’s athletic blend and it’s been an amazing transformation. Both dogs look forward to eating, have a lot of energy (which is normal for Vizslas), digestion is great and their fur is SO soft. I would highly recommend!

My Brittney loves this food.
By Cntrygrl on Feb 12, 2020
I have a very active Brittany who ALWAYS feels STARVING. And while there are benefits to high food drive, always begging for food should not be one. Or inhaling her food should not be another. This food tastes great, smells a bit (enticing for her) and seems to provide satisfaction for her hunger. And it also gives her the fuel to go and go and go like she loves to do. Additionally, she appears to be loosing the weight that other foods have placed on her. I have liked other Dr. Tim dog foods but this balance my suit her best. If you have high energy, high active dogs this food (so far) is showing great results for my girl.

Best food we've tried!
By Chaos on Feb 25, 2020
I've tried several brands of food with my dog. He's 2 now and I'm so happy with how he looks and feels on Dr. Tim's! I've tried several formulas and this one is definitely the winner! He trains and competes in dog sports so finding a high-quality food for him that he doesn't need to eat a huge amount of has been a journey. I love this food! His coat is super soft and shiny. His energy levels are great. And stools are normal. He loves the food too. I've recommended Dr. Tim's to several friends and clients and they all love it!

Stink Breath
By TimL on Jan 31, 2020
Decided to try this food because of the high quality, wish we could keep him on this but it causes our Golden's breath to sink so bad you can't be around him for hours after he eats. Have already ordered a different brand from Chewy. Wish there was samples we could try before we buy.

Border Collie Mix runs 25 miles per week on Dr Tims Glacier Blend
By LucyBorderCollieMix on Nov 13, 2019
I Highly recommend Dr. Tim's Glacier Blend! Our female mix breed, 40 lb., 4 yr. old rescue that jogs with me about 25 miles per week (with one long run up to 9 miles) loves this food! We switched from a very good brand, Holistic Select Grain Free because she was itching quite a bit. She is itching and shedding much less since the switch and has loads of energy to play fetch, even after a long run. This isn't cheap, but do the math - its a 40 lb bag! Actually less per meal than most other top rated kibbles. We top this with a 1/2 patty per meal of Stella & Chewys raw freeze dried patties, as even the best kibble isn't ideal as the sole source of nutrition.

Chewy scores again!
By Sophie on Sep 14, 2019
First off, we ordered this wonderful dog chow Labor Day Weekend. I'd been on the hunt for quality ingredients for our energetic German Shorthaired Pointer. Dr. Tim's checked all the boxes. Obviously, the test is would she eat it? She did & still does enthusiastically! A shout out to Chewy. Never did I think we'd see our order the Tuesday morning after Labor Day. Somehow you guys did it again! Thank you Dr. Tim's and Chewy for another score.

Kibble size
By Maxs on Jul 30, 2019
I have a service dog and I was searching for the best food to feed him. Dr. Tim's nutritional values and ingredients made the cut. My dog loves the food. My ONLY issue is the size of the kibble is too small for my lab/shepherd.

My dogs LOVE this dogfood
By Dogmomma on May 13, 2019
My dog's really enjoy this dog food and it was one of the only ones that didn't have fillers that were flagged in that recent heart scare with the grain free diets. It's not cheap, but the bags are actually huge compared to their competition and last a long time.
