We have a one year old Sheepadoodle "Gus" with a healthy appetite but was becoming less interested in his previous food. We found Dr. Tim's rated with 5 stars on the DOG FOOD ADVISER, available at Chewy and offered with a 20% discount if we signed up for Autoship. We took the "plunge", not knowing if Gus would like it or not - we decided to take advantage of the lowest per pound price and purchased a 44 pound bag. It was available with free shipping and we received it in just 2 days. The packaging is phenomenal, a heavy foil bag with a special one way valve that lets air out but not in. After almost 3 weeks I can report that Gus simple loves the food and is doing very well on it!

  • Dr Tim's is a true hero

My brittany puppy came from the breeder eating Pro Plan Puppy. I was initially happy with this food but my pup started to have horrid gas. I decided to switch her food, after ordering 3 separate brands 2 she did not want to eat. 1 brand made by a Canadian company in KY she loved to eat and I liked that it had a high content of protein from meat sources. But even after a slow transition and I gave it a month, she was having soft stool and was going 5 times a day with big piles (I even cut back her feeding quantity). Exhausted in our food search I tried Dr Tim's (if this brand didn't work we were going to go back to Pro Plan). I can say that she loves to gobble this food up, it is made in a facility My brittany puppy came from the breeder eating Pro Plan Puppy. I can say that she loves to gobble this food up, it is made in a facility that has never had a recall and has a good fat/ brotien ratio for our active pup. Her stools are so much better and we are both happy. In the summer when she will be even more active backpacking with me I will try out some of Dr. Tim's higher brotien/ fat blends (Pursuit) to keep her running alongside me. I want to thank Dr. Tim for making a quality food that my dog loves and she has no stinking gas from it. … more

  • Dr. Tim's easy transition

I have been feeding Ben another top dog food. It was great, good energy, nice coat but stools never were solid. Half stool solid then second half loose. Then he just stopped eating it. I went to the US version of the top Canadian food. Again, energy off the charts, coat great. Same stool problem. As well as teeth getting discolored. I switched to Dr Tim's and he has his best stools ever. So far good energy and coat. May go to his higher protein/fat food next hunting season. But right now Kenesis is working out great for us.

  • Great dog food but not the best for a Lab with allergies

    By on

I changed to this dog food due to the high rating but my Lab has allergies. Using this food I discovered it is the chicken and maybe something else. I had to switch to another product.

  • All my dogs have done great, but...

    By on

I have a mix of dogs, all sizes, and until just this last delivery, they could all eat this with the right size kibble, but for some strange reason this delivery has the kibble twice the normal size which means my yorkie can not eat this, but all the other dogs are o.k. with it, can't get an answer as to why??

  • Wonderful Food!

    By on

I have two Border Collies and a Great Dane pup on this food. They all do well on it. The Great Dane is a picky eater and I have to cover this kibble in canned in order to get him to eat enough, but he's done that with four different kibbles, so I don't think it's the fault of the food. Both my Border Collies compete in obedience and their energy levels are great.

  • 3 Paws up!

    By on

We received our first shipment of Dr.Tim's. I gave all 3 of my dogs a little taste and it was instant love. They reacted like they do when I give them their favorite treat! So as far as the taste, I think they all give a paws up! I do have a concern. One of my dogs, a Viszla /Lab mix, is showing some allergic reactions to it. Itching on her under belly, belching and gas. I will slow down even further the introduction of Dr. Tim's out to 4 weeks along with their regular food, which was Nutro Ultra.

  • it's a good food but it didn't work for my dogs

    By on

I have been feeding grain free for a long time but the cost of Dr. Tim's regular food made me want to try it. Even easing my two rottweilers and min. schnauzer into it caused diarrhea and gas and itching in all three dogs. So I went back to grain free and changed my order to Taste of the Wild.

  • 44lb bag lasts us awhile!

We are Dr. Tim's converts! We fed Blue for a long time, and our dogs did very well on it. However, their interest in dry food was 'meh' at times. I found Dr. Tim's by accident while looking at other Blue flavors, and we decided to give it a try. Our dogs eat their meals with gusto now, they seem to truly love Dr. Tim's! Their coats remain silky soft, and they have no allergy problems. Our four dogs vary greatly in size and age, and Dr. Tim's suits all their needs. We have 2 husky/beagle/pug mix puppies who will grow to be medium size dogs, a Pomeranian who is about 8 pounds, and a frenchie/chihuahua who is about 15 pounds. We also go through less dog food now, the 44lb bag lasts about 2-2.5 months, tho I'm sure that will go up when the puppies grow up! Can't go wrong with Dr. Tim's and we are very happy we made the switch. … more

  • Relatively pleased

My Great Danes love it however I have noticed some thinning of the hair on their back and some small moth eaten patches after about 4weeks on the food. I am going to see if. Salmon oil solves the issue. Otherwise I will go back to My previous brand
