Pre-filters help maintain optimum flow rate, enhance the filtration ability of the separate carbon filter, and further prolong the life of your pump. The easy-to-install pre-filter fits easily around the pump inside the water reservoir and lasts up to two months.

I did not know I could get these when I bought the bowl. It is so easy to chunk the old and replace with this new one. I change it every other week and I also get the filters and change them every week. I love this bowl for my boy!
