Make feeding more comfy for wild birds with the Droll Yankees Omni Bird Seed Tray. It’s made of durable and impact resistant, UV-stabilized polycarbonate construction that can stand up to daily outdoor use without fading, and turns any tubular feeder into a platform feeder. Not only will it attract even more types of birds such as ground feeders like cardinals, but it’ll also encourage birds to hang out longer at the feeder, and saves spilled seed to reduce waste and make cleaning easier. It has built-in drainage holes to keep it dry and inviting for birdies, and is super easy to install with no tools needed. Plus, it’s proudly made in the USA.

Connect the Omni Seed Tray to the feeder base with the included threaded black plug. Compatible with Droll Yankees’ Classic, New Generation, Ring Pull, and Bird Lovers feeders
Thanks, Chewy! The order arrived so quickly. We use this base on our ring pull feeder and it keeps almost all of the seed available to our winged friends and off the ground!! Perfect!!!
The idea for this is great: Attach a tray to the bottom of your bird feeder. However, every few days the bolt unscrews itself and the tray falls. This last time, probably the sixth time in a month, I can't find the bolt in the bushes below. DY needs to redesign this!
Live on Long Island and this feeder has been outside for three weeks with absolutely no birds using it. Just wasted $100.
Did not work out as bottom of bird feeder plug opening larger then the one provided with this product.
This seed tray was very easy to install on feeder. However, I wish it were a little larger.
Fit perfectly on my 8 year old Droll Yankees cylinder feeder
...so perhaps that is a mistake in the description...or droll yankees changed their design? other than that, it looked well-made and sturdy, and would certainly help catch seed/shells dropped by the sloppy little visitors. :)
For the summer months I like to keep my feeders up but the mess from the dropped seeds and shells was a problem. I already had a Droll Yankee feeder and the seed tray has been a huge success! Highly recommend.
It would be great if birds gently approached a feeder and ate with their best table manners. Unfortunately, they jockey for position and throw the food they don't want creating quite a mess. Even with a collecting tray the ground will be covered with seed but at least some of the seed gets a second chance. This tray is very durable and collects dropped food pretty well. It fits my Droll Yankee Classic feeders snugly. You can use the enclosed plastic bolt or attach it using their plastic hook screw (sold separately...). With the hook you can piggyback a second feeder below your main feeder; it works really well if you have two types of feeder or if your bird population expands in number. I find that ground feeding birds often eat the seed caught in this tray. The edge is good for perching and accommodates two or three medium sized doves. Although the tray has drain holes I find a dome above the feeder is truly needed to prevent your seed from getting drenched. Overall, I'm very happy with the Omni Seed Tray. It's durable, serves its purpose, and fits my Classic Droll Yankee feeders perfectly. Highly recommended!
Ordered this with a different tube feeder sold on this site to discover it only works with Droll Yankees feeders, and chewy carries very few of these, most of which cost over $100. Should be much more clear that this product can’t be used with most tube style feeders, and maybe carry a few moderate priced feeders from the company this was intended for. The object itself looks like it would work well, but I will never know.
