Keep the birds fed and the squirrels off with the Droll Yankees Yankee Tipper Collapsing Bird Feeder. It has four seed ports so birds can feed easily and it keeps the seeds flowing to satisfy even the hangriest of birds! The squirrel-proof design is built with a collapsing tray that tips down under the weight of a squirrel intruder to gently throw him off. It features a UV-resistant polycarbonate tube that can stand up to heavy duty outdoor use, durable looped stainless steel hanging wire, and comes in fade-proof midnight black so it looks great in any garden or backyard.

This bird feeder really is squirrel proof. We've only had it a few weeks, but the squirrels haven't been able to get to the food. It's tall enough that they can't reach the ports by hanging upside down; and the saucer tips to make them fall. The hanger is metal and they even tried chewing it off. Today it attempted to chew the lid so time will tell as the lid is hard plastic. This worked as advertised!!!
Squirrels hugged the bottom of the feeder and pigged out. I don't see how this could work as advertised.
We'd had all kinds of bird-feeder issues with grey squirrels and ordered this feeder. Took a day or so before the birds got used to it, but the squirrels found it immediately and tried repeatedly to defeat it. So far they have not succeeded, but squirrels are persistent. I did put a baffle over the feeder, mainly to keep off rain and snow. Blue jays and woodpeckers do not like this feeder as the platform is not rigid and is small. Some cardinals do not like it either and feed on spilled sunflower seeds below the feeder. So far the only critter to defeat the feeder is a raccoon, so I take the feeder in at night. Will see how things go this winter, but so far so good.
We got the birdfeeder but added a baffle, purchased in Chewy, and the squirrels have tried to get to the seeds but are unsuccessful. I suggest the baffle because they can try to crawl to the tray from the top of the birdfeeder. Of course, the tray will collapse, but the baffle prevents them from trying too often. The birds love it! The squirrels hang out under it with the geese. It's brought so much entertainment and we love it.
This is a nice, sturdy, big feeder that holds a whole bag of seed and looks good out there on a high shepherd's hook. Alas, within 3 days, the squirrels in my yard figured out how to circumvent the collapsing platform, wrap themselves around the bottom of the feeder, and enjoy a substantial snack before allowing themselves to be flipped onto the ground. Ah, well...
Great feeder, just bought this new one as the old canister was looking so cloudy and bad after 19 years of use! Works very well, especially with the new dish tray I ordered.
Not only has the feeder kept squirrels from munching all the seed. It has been great entertainment watching the squirrels try to figure out how to get into the feeder. Squirrels are not injured just out smarted.
We had this feeder for over 20 years when the central wire broke. We replaced it with a new feeder and now realize that it had a lifetime guarantee and parts are order able. The feeder does it’s job perfectly. After a few tries the squirrels give up. The Grands love seeing them try to figure it out and slip off the tray.
I am enjoying this feeder. It has rained without the seed holes getting clogged. The birds are enjoying their food without interruption from the squirrels. The squirrels have not succeeded in being able to make the bird food vanish.
We ordered this exact replacement from Chewy of a feeder we've used very happily for years. It has beautifully withstood weather & bear attacks, and the birds love it. We were EXTREMELY impressed with Chewy's prompt service ~ the feeder arrived a mere two days after we placed our order. Good job!!
