The DurAnimals DuraScoop Original Cat Litter Scoop was born out of the obsession to create a real tool that’s made to work and made to last. Tired of cleaning their own cat litter boxes with inferior scoops, the good folks behind DurAnimals took it upon themselves to design a better tool for the job. The result is the world's first cast aluminum cat litter scoop. The strong hand-polished, all-metal design is made to dig, not just sift, and it will not bend, break or rust. As an added benefit of its sturdy construction, it will not recoil under strain, so it will never flick litter or waste out of the box. Finally, the soft, ergonomic grip fits easily in your hand for comfort.

(april 2022) great metal scoop. Works well, strong handle. -- We've purchased this scoop multiple times because they've accidentally found their way into the trash. As in, its trash night and you lean the boxes and oops... We do wash it regularly. The edges allow you to get into the corners of a litter box. The end of rubber (where the hole is) doesn't have metal under it so it's kind of squishy there.
This is Wirecutter's recommended litter scoop, and I'd say it's a solid pick. It feels sturdy in the hand - more like a garden trowel than your typical cheap plastic scoop - and is relatively easy to clean. However, my one complaint with it is that there are almost too many holes - sometimes you get little chunks of poop or broken clumps, and those are difficult to scoop (you can kinda do it using the very corners of the scoop).
The handle is completely solid, which is what I was most concerned with. It's not like other scoops where the metal doesn't extend throughout the handle and you're left with just a flexible piece of rubber. This is a good one.
I was hesitant because of the gaps and questioned the sturdiness after breaking many plastic scoops. This is not only sturdy and the gaps are just fine but clumps do not stick! This is a Game changer.
I have a small chicken coop with a droppings board I need to scoop out every day. With the freezing temps we've been getting, some of the droppings on the roost turned to cement. I figured it was a lost cause because the plastic scoop wasn't making a scratch and nearly broke. This thing, however, worked like a charm. Highly recommend for small coops!
This is one heavy built durable scoop. It fits my small to medium size hand. It is heavy, but needs to be to do the job The neck of the scoop is thick and good quality metal. This will last a life time. Now if this company also made garden tools.
This makes scooping my cats litter really easy. He has a pretty big box that can be tedious with a smaller or a plastic scoop. Plus its comfortable to hold
I have been extremely satisfied with Chewy. They are reliable, speedy and carry quality products. This litter scoop is strong, easy to handle, and gets the job done!
Very well made. But it's enormous - a small shovel. Check the dimensions before buying if size is an issue. If you have a very large cat, like a Serval or Maine Coon, this would be an excellent choice. Also, if you're using flushable litter, consider the action of hitting metal to the side of your toilet bowl to loosen stuck litter. It's loud. As much as I like the metal, with flushable, plastic might be a better option.
This litter scooper will scoop without breaking if you use Dr. Elsey's Ultra litter which makes large and heavy clumps.
