Leans to the side
To start off, the cage is very spacious and appears to be sturdy the metal is solid. The con is what everyone else has mentioned, the instructions are very minimal but just takes a little fiddling to figure it out nothing too complicated. The biggest con for me is that the cage stand has one leg shorter than the other therefore the cage leans sideways. I contacted chewy customer service in regards to this issue and they simply sent a label to send the item back for a replacement. However, to dissemble the cage, put it back in a box (which I’ve already thrown away) and ship it back is more of a hassle than it’s worth so therefore the cage will forever lean sideways I guess. nice cage......if it wasnt mangled
Its a really nice cage but i had to fix it while putting it together. im sure they arent all like this, probably smashed during shipping. it was a little mangled. i had to straighten pieces, screw holes filled with metal shavings, the stand was all crooked. i needed it NOW so i just put it together which took forever with all the flaws. Chewy offered my money back if i returned it but its put together and im just using it. i think i would of gave it 4-5 stars if it werent for those issues.
Spacious and sturdy
This cage is made with heavy duty metal and was one of the biggest cages I could find with 0.5 inch bar spacing. The door latch seems super secure. It's definitely a cage upgrade for my bird. As for assembly there was a picture and minimal directions but we were able to figure it out after a little trial and error.
The cage is welded wrong
I love everything about it except the front is welded wrong so no way to have the perches level from side to side, front is welded higher then the back. You can see it is definite mistake in the factory as it was put together on one side upside down.
A & E bird cage
Instructions werr not with it. If i had to do it by myself, I could’t do it, but my husband helped and after about an hour got it together. Love the cage. 2cockateils in it. Not Chewy’s fault, but A &E for not having instructions.
Big solid perfect. If you can assemble, it shows you can outwit your bird!
Wonderful! I always read reviews and after comparing many reviews on many sites, this seemed like the biggest, best cage I could afford for my green cheek conure. It came faster than expected. It fits together perfectly! As everyone says, the instructions are deficient. It wouldn't kill them to add stickers, or even part numbers. But it's doable, even for someone like me who lacks confidence in my assembly skills. Thank goodness for a comment that explained the green tubes fit on the outside of the legs, with the tabs being furthest out and pointed up, which creates two solid bars to support the cage, which slides down on top of the bars; the cage fits very neatly inside the tabs. I do wish there was a bigger door and also one at the rear, as it is hard for me to hang toys toward the back of the cage. Best of all, PrettyPretty - who watched assembly while perched on a rope perch I had affixed to the top of a too-small cage - flew right over and went in to investigate the toys and perches and food. Crossing my fingers, this forecasts a happy future!
Happy birdie
I'm thrilled with this new cage for my 8-yr.old green-cheek conure! And she loves it too. Sturdy, easy to clean, high-quality materials, and the rolling casters make this unit perfect for us. Additionally, it's tall enough that I don't need to bend over to get eye-to-eye with her -- meaning that she gets more attention when she's caged. Thank you!
Pure purrfect for small birds!
Thanks to this cage I will sleep happily knowing my budgies are safe in this cage! The bar spacing is safe for all very small birds! I love this cage so much I bought a second one! Very well made and I really love the door, my birds will be so safe and they have so much room to fly! They are so happy they began singing almost as soon as I put them in. If anyone is considering this cage, I highly recommend it. It can be a challenge to put together but just go one piece at a time and before you know it, you’ll have a really nice cage for to make your birds happy and safe. Even the way they package for shipping was nicely done. :)
A Nice Surprise
I looked for several weeks for a large quality cage for a small bird. This cage was a perfect fit for my bird. It arrived with a beat up box but the cage itself was undamaged. Not difficult to put together although the directions left much to the imagination. It is well made, heavy, and has a narrow bar width for small birds. I am happy and my bird loves it. It was a good buy.
Well built cage with decent space
First off, the shipping was great, my cage arrived on time and in perfect condition too! This makes a perfect sleeping cage for my miniature ringneck dove. I love the locks on the door and how long the cage is compared to most other cages. The stand can fit a decent amount of supplies under it and the cage itself doesn't take up too much space even in my small room. Overall, I would definitely recommend this cage ^-^
