Not as impressed as I hoped I would be

    By ZookeepingMom17 on Jan 3, 2021

To give a little background, I have 3 cockatiels, 2 of them are ornery old men and its always a dominance fight, so we finally decided to separate because it isn't healthy for either of them. I ordered this cage with the guidance of a vet and had high hopes for it. Pros are its big enough to accommodate my 2 birds with plenty room for more if we ever decided to add to our zoo. The top opens nicely to slide back for some topside perching which our zoo loves to do. Customer service from A&E was phenomenal. A&E didn't have the color in stock that I selected from Chewy, so they called and offered me the other options they did have in stock. Shipping was pretty much next day delivery which was appreciated To give a little background, I have 3 cockatiels, 2 of them are ornery old men and its always a dominance fight, so we finally decided to separate because it isn't healthy for either of them. Cons are that it was very difficult to assemble with just one person, nothing clicked together like it should and the grate actually goes in the bottom of the cage (not the tray), it's a bit heavy so my plans to take it to the basement to clean have changed. Also not a huge fan of the perches (cage is suited for a small cockatoo, not a bunch of cockatiels), the bowls weren't white, but stained yellow and I was a little hesitant to put them in my cage. The perches are rather large and the door to open is about 8" by 3" and increasingly difficult to function with. I'm probably used to having a cage with a large door that opens that I can take my feathered friends out easily, so maybe this is personal preference for me, but im definitely not a huge fan of this cage. I'm currently trying to figure out how to reconfigure my set up and will sell this cage. … more

    love it,,,,but....

By petmom on Nov 11, 2020

I had a cage like this years ago and loved it so bought this again for a cockatiel. It is impossible to put together by yourself. Had to get help. The directions are useless. I thought I had the wrong parts because picture doesn't show proper legs. I had to go back on the website and look at pics just to figure out how to put the base together. The feed cups are dirty and look stained. The basket on the bottom is bent in several places and part of the base is not well joined. Still love the cage but didn't expect the condition I received it in.

    Nice cage, hard to assemble

By Chance on Nov 13, 2020

The instructions provided are not worth the paper they're printed on. The cage looks nice, but it's too hard and I live alone. Will probably return it because at least two people are needed. A decent manual outlining the features would've been a very nice addition - such as the main door of the cage. Never seen one like it and would like to know if this is truly correct.

    Great Cage!

    By 424Maddy on Oct 2, 2020

It's such a great cage! My birds love it!! It was a little hard to put together with only one pair of hands, and the directions aren't very specific. Overall the cage is very high quality, and it is the perfect size!! I'm so happy I went with this cage.
