Cat chews everything.... except this
I was looking for cat-safe alternatives (or, potentially, a cat buisy-bone) for my cat that chews on everything. Her favorite no-go's are: plastic and metal zippers, hard plastic containers, mechanical and wooden pencils, markers, power cables (and charging chords), cardboard boxes, leather (and pleather) bags.... because she tries to eat plastic and wooden hair pins, too, I thought, "if it is on stick-form, even if there is little to no scent, maybe she'll chew on this, instead?" She'd rather chew on the soft portion of my flips than this. She just batts it arround when playful. She's not even a picky-eater! (She'll eat most human food, if I'm not looking, all cat food types/brands, and, until now, all cat treat types.) The only times it was in her mouth was when she tossed it for play. I don't think she liked the taste, since it was dropped fast. Pics: her loosing interest after playing with it for about a minute and her carnage on a hard plastic ID badge and laminated paper
Good product, not for cats
I bought these for a couple of my bored male cats that are pretty food motivated, also in hopes of finding a good chew treat for their teeth, and while they like the concept of them- they end up using them as sticks to bat around the house. I tried softening them just a little by cutting them up, but it's a lot of work. I'll keep hunting for something similar that is also healthy for teeth.
Not pleased
I have been buying these treat sticks for years (from local vendors) and this is my first time purchasing from Chewy's. The first bag was fine but the second bag has an awful odor ... I can't tell if it's mold or a chemical smell but, whatever it is, I am throwing the bag away. I can't risk feeding it to my sweet Sadie ... she trusts me to keep her safe and there is no way I am going to take any chances with her health.
Unravel and cause choking
I refuse to give my dogs anything rawhide and was looking for a simple chew for them to have every once in a while. My dogs loved these at first and enjoyed the flavor. However as they were chewing, the stick began to unravel. My dogs would try to bite through this and they struggled. Thankfully I was close by when one began to choke on the treat because it unraveled and went down her throat. I had to pull this long piece out because she was not able to remove it herself. Took the other sticks away from my dogs and threw them all away. Please, please be aware if you’re giving your dog these treats. Do not leave them alone!

Cat Won’t Touch These
I want to start by saying the quality of these sticks appear great, but the scent is a little off. My cat refuses to eat these sticks (I’ve tried enticing him several different ways). I think it’s because the scent of the sticks is a little weird and not appealing to him. this treat may work better for dogs!
Didn’t like
I gave one of these to my kitty and she licked it a few times and didn’t even chew it. Guess she didn’t like it.
It's okay...
Girls are not too crazy about this one, but they do chew on it when they are bored and that's all they have to chew on. It does last them several days anyway. Maybe for a medium size dog that's so picky it might be okay.
Actually long lasting!
Been trying lots of rawhide alternative chews for my 6 month old pups, who want to chew things all day. Glad to have lots of options, but this one actually lasts more than a few minutes and satisfies their craving to chew to the point they will actually take breaks. Great size for my 4 & 8 pound teenies.
my cat isn't interested
My cat doesn't seem interested in this, he ate it the first time I give it to him but then he never touches it again. now I have so many leftovers, probably donated to the shelter. Not worth the money
