Are these bags compostable?
Answer by ChewyJul 26, 2021
The manufacturer has stated the following about this product – “Our dark green bags contain a Totally Degradable Plastic Additive (made by EPI) which fall within the definition of oxo-biodegradable. Essentially, the additive allows the bags to breakdown at an accelerated rate when exposed to elements such as heat, oxygen, moisture and agitation- like conditions found in anaerobic landfills! These bags will break down about 60% within the first 24 months and then whatever is left is then converted into small amounts of water, carbon dioxide and biomass with the help of tiny microorganisms found in landfill environments.”

are they made in the US
Answer by ChewySep 29, 2020
Earth Rated's present manufacturing process is based in China. Their factory abides by strict quality control guidelines and they have a great team of people that oversee every part of their production and ensure a high level of quality control.

What is added to make it lavender-scented? essential oil, chemicals, something else?
Answer by ChewyJan 21, 2021
62% of the lavender scent is naturally sourced from essential oils derived from fruits, plants and spices. The remaining 38% is a binding agent that helps the scent adhere to the bags. The lavender scent accounts for 1% of the total make-up of these bags.

Do these bags come in a larger size? I walk two, 75 lb dogs. Some trips require more than one bag.
Answer by ChewyDec 06, 2017
At this time the 9 x 13 inch Earth Rated PoopBags are the biggest we carry.

One step for the planet

I really like these bags they are big enough for a poop from a 70 lb dog and deep enough to keep my hands clean, the tear off is clean and doesn't compromise the next bag, Finally this has been one of my steps to minimize my plastic use.

Do the Poo!

These poop bags are more than adequate for my pup's business (Havanese). They never fall apart, come off the roll just fine, and fit in the dispenser attached to the leash. The plus is that they are compostable. Yay!

Great size!

This size is great for the big poops. I was using the one size smaller ones, but these are way easier to use! I don't have to worry about getting poop on my hands as I grab the big ones! My pup is 60 pounds and her morning poops are sometimes really big! I wish these came in one continuous roll instead of these small rolled ones. I know these are for the little carrier, but I prefer to stuff these in my pockets or fanny pack. I slightly open each bag before our walk so it is easier and faster to use. I've never had a problem with leakage. I highly recommend.

Strong bags for Giants

These bags are the only ones that I can depend on being strong enough for my Saint Bernard and Great Pyrenees. They are handy on the roll for walking but I like the package of the flat bags even more since I have to scoop poop on 2 acres. Yep! Lotta poop.

Strong and Right Size

I have had previous doggy bags that were so thin you needed to double bag. These are thicker so that is not necessary. They also diminish the oder which is a plus. Will buy again.

strong scent

They work great but have a strong smell. This helps when you can't dispose of a bag quickly. I'm sensitive to perfume and won't be ordering the scented version again.

Top of the line bags

Purchased thee for my son who really likes them. I got them for him previously and he uses they daily when he walks his new pup. They definitely service the purpose.

Earth rated

I love these bags. They are so durable and handle a lot! The butterfly sticker on the roll doesn't tear the bag. The stickers on other brands tear the bag, wasting almost 10 bags. Earth rated is #1in my book.

Their customer support and product are the best!

Hands down one of the best companies I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with. After buying their bags for a year, one order came with holes in it (looked like the bags melted after packaging somehow). I emailed them and within a week I had a whole new box of 240 bags even thought it was only one roll AND a goody bag full of misc items for my pup and me to enjoy (photo attached of my pup with a hanker chief that was in the bag). 15/10, could not recommend them more and I’ll be buying from them forever. When buying poop bags, go with this company!!

go-to poo bags

Love these bags, they are a staple. They may not be the best choice environmentally but they get the job done. Tried the compostable ones and they rip and fall apart.
