Used for mixing with medication. If you use the entire pouch at the same time, you wouldn't have the mess. (Pouch isn't resealable). My picky cat loves it and takes her medication with no problem.
i have a very picky kitty who will ONLY go for seafood based wet food, and hates the texture of canned. I have tried lots of brands "tuna + (other)" pouches and she'll pick at them, but she absolutely mows this stuff down.
I have a very fussy cat and I had gotten some cans of earthborn that he actually ate, but the 5oz cans were too much at a time for him. I was excited to see the smaller packets so I ordered them in every flavor (tired of supply chain issues and not being able to always find stuff he will eat). What an absolute fail! He will go near them and I don’t really blame him because they stink! Like worse than most fish cat food. I have another cat who eats everything and she won’t even eat them. The one time I gave it to her in the morning when I knew she would be good and hungry, she ate a little and then threw it up. We have a small colony of feral cats and I thought surely they would like some fishy goodness. Nope! Even the feral cats refuse to eat it. Now I have all these boxes and I am afraid to even donate it to the shelter because I don’t think any of their cats will eat it. Such a waste! Definitely do not recommend.
This is another winner from Earthborn. My cats enjoy all the fishy varieties of Earthborn, they love the dry and canned fish varieties as well. The pouches are of soupier consistency which they absolutely love. Great to mix with other cans that don't have the gravy. I have no problems getting the food out of the pouches unlike some reviewers said.
My furbabies don't seem to like this one as much as others I've tied.
My cats have been eating and enjoying the earthborn canned food for years. This is the first time I tried the pouch. I won’t be getting it again. They did not eat it.
My 14-year old cat has been vomiting frequently but seems to digest Earthborn Holistic food very well. I am very pleased.
After another brand was discontinued...I tried a pate style - two of the kitties that always run into the room for breakfast now just sat there and one tried to cover it up. Acquiesced to their demand and tried Low Country Fare as they liked Earthborn's Key West Zest. Now they are running again and the third one - the old lady that prefers pate even likes it. Six paws up!! (but the vet and I agree that the feeding instructions made us laugh - 2-3 pouches for every four pounds of cat??? Naaah).
I always keep these packs on hand because my picky kitty is obsessed with it! The textures and flavors appear nicely balanced for a kitty with preferences.
I do recommend this product so far. My Cat is very picky but likes Lowcountry Fare.
