Sensitive Tummy
I've got two dogs, one has a gut of steel and the other gets the runs anytime she tastes something new. To my surprise she easily swapped from wellness to earthborn without any issue! Both dogs have never shown much interest/appetite for their meals before we got this stuff. I'm surprised they're already ready for a new bag! Went through it quick but so far it's been well worth it
not the same as before
This food has changed recently and not for the better. I have been buying this food for my dog for a while and noticed the last few bags that I bought my dog would you sniff and walk away she did not want to eat it right away like she did in the past. When I compared an older batch I had put away with the newer bag I noticed that the smell the size of the pebbles and the color were completely different. The price has not changed but the quality of this product has changed a lot. That is not OK. I would rather pay a higher cost then have a company stitch the quality of the food unexpectedly.
Meadow Feast
Earthborn Holistic Meadow Feast is the only food I feed my Boxer. He has a very sensitive stomach and after switching to this food, his poops are now formed and only three times a day; no more reflux and rarely scratches. Peas and other legumes caused him problems and was thrilled when Earthborn removed them.
Noticeably Different Quality
I have always bought this food for my Great Dane and older dog, however lately we have not been happy with the quality. My older dog now hates the stuff and my Great dane has had more diarrhea. The food on the left with the darker coloring was a previous bag we had but the paler colored pellets are the new bag. They both smell very different. My dog hates the paler pellets. Why change the formula when you can just up the price slightly to keep quality for our fur babies?
Dogs love it but I’m not sure
I bought a small bag to see how my dogs would like it, since they got bored with their other food. They love the Meadow Feast, and the kibble is small enough it’s fine for my older dogs so I bought a larger bag from a local retailer. The pieces in this bag were way bigger than the small bag. I emailed the company and all they said was that kibble can vary in size and if I wasn’t satisfied to return the food to the retailer. This wasn’t a simple variation in size, this was different. I’m not sure I will purchase this food again if the kibble is going to vary in size this much. The top of the picture shows the food from the larger bag, the bottom part shows the kibble from the small bag.
Change in Formulation
I would give Earthborn a zero if I could. I searched out over 100 ingredient decks for a dog food that didn't have ingredients that my pup was allergic to. I found this food and it worked. We have been getting it for several years until the last order. I noticed it looked different so I looked at the bag and lo and behold they changed their formulation (nothing on the bag or website to let someone know that they changed it)...bad business. Good thing I noticed that pumpkin and eggs were now in the top 4 ingredients before I gave it to my pup. I just can't believe they wouldn't have put something on the label about a new formulation. Be careful!
Try the small bag first
I tried to give my dog healthy food. He won’t touch this. I have a huge bag minus one scoop.
Dogs seem to like it.
Chewy was out of the food my dogs like so I got this. I have used it a couple times now and they seem to like it. I have one dog that is super picky and she likes it too. We have tried the lamb and Bison flavor and they like both. It's a little pricey but I guess you pay for what you get so I'm not complaining.

Earthborn for my sensitive pups
I have two dogs of different breeds but and with different food tolerances causing sometimes severe diarrhea, which is not a fun thing to clean up. After a good deal of searching and trial-and-error and at the recommendation of my vet for a holistic food with grains, I found Earthborn. Both dogs tolerate this food (several flavors/varieties) very well, although I do usually mix up their diet on the weekends with thawed raw food. I am very happy with Earthborn, and I definitely recommend it for dogs with sensitive stomachs. You usually get what you pay for, so do not skimp on their food.
