I used to buy this kibble for my dog who is on a limited ingredient diet. It was not available for some time. Then I spotted it on Chewy, and ordered a bag. When it arrived, I was so very happy that I could finally get it. Then I opened the bag, and the kibble smells awful, like a mix of a chemical smell and rancid. I gave my dog to smell it, she won't even try it. Something is very wrong with this batch, I don't think it's safe feeding it to a dog.
Used to be the only food that my pit with severe allergies (chicken, fish, turkey, lamb, eggs, and maybe peas) could eat but quality lately on this flavor has been extremely poor. For the past 2 months or so this expensive food has smelled of paint and found mold. Dogs won’t touch it, they literally would rather go eat dirt and rocks, so sad. I tried a different flavor-bison and pumpkin from the same brand and no issues so far, and dogs love it.
One of my dogs has been eating the Venture line for over a year. It’s practically the only mass produced kibble that doesn’t flare his allergies. The most recent bag of Boar I opened though is not working for us anymore. He’s refusing to eat it. Back to the drawing board again…
Venture seems like a very good food but my picky dog will not touch any of their proteins. Have gone with a different brand
Dogs love it. So far very pleased with this food. It agrees with their system.
My English Bulldog suffers from bumps between her toes. Depending on the food, those bumps subside and this different food helps her greatly being a different protein. Also she loves the food. Great product
My two pitties are on a homemade pork diet and are doing fantastic but one needs supplementing with a kibble because she won’t take her daily vitamin. I add 1/2 cup of this formula (which I researched the ingredients carefully) to her homemade diet and she gobbles it up. It’s hard to find a pork kibble that doesn’t have lots of grains, lentils and mixed proteins. This one is a winner.
My dog has food allergies (which ones?). 100% sure chicken is problem & very hard to find dog food w/o chicken byproducts. This is a limited ingredient, grain-free (NO Pea protein that's linked to cardiomyopathies), and must not taste like cardboard (as the the dozens of others I have tried).
My dog is allergic to a lot of common proteins. He also has a super sensitive stomach. It was very difficult to find the right food for him. Tried all kinds of brand kibble, fresh food, homemade food makes him lose weight. So glad finally this food works for him.
