Venture Rabbit & Pumpkin
My dogs love the venture rabbit kibble. The added pumpkin really helped their stomach! Some reviews mentioned a bad smell from the food, but I disagree. Rabbit has more of a game smell which is different than Turkey or chicken. I have had no issues with the product and will continue feeding it to my dogs since they love it so much. Glad we gave it a try.
Great Food, Dog Loves It
We switched from overpriced Rx rabbit-based food to this. Dog loves it, no issues. Was nervous about ordering it based on previous reviews of crumbling kibble, but so far everything has been perfect!
Lacking Quality Control
I used to love this food and I spent years finding the right food for my dogs. However, the quality of this food continues to decline. The last three auto ship orders of Venture Rabbit have been increasingly rancid smelling and breaking down to the point that my most recent bag is almost all crumbles and dust. I didn’t understand what was happening, so I started checking other reviews and on other flavors as well and it seems it’s a common trend now with Earthborn Holistic dry food.
Not for all dogs
Well two of my four dogs is ok on this food but the other two are having issues. I slowly transitioned them over to this food to avoid digestive issues. For the first two weeks everyone was fine but then two of my dogs got loose stools. One especially sensitive dog is still having stomach upset, loose stool and refuses to eat it now. So since the bag is almost gone I'm going to feed it to the two dogs that aren't having issues. But I am once again looking for a healthy dog food that all of my dogs can eat without issues.
Good mix w/ EBH Unrefined Smoked Salmon w/ Ancient
Have had excellent results mixing Earthborn Holistic’s Venture Rabbit and Unrefined Smoked Salmon in 50/50 ratio. Dog has beautiful coat, no apparent allergies, excellent energy and healthy, dark colored poop. Have tried other limited/ ancient grain kibbles with less success. This is the best option we’ve found. Kibble is large; perhaps not ideal for smaller dogs.
Dogs hate it
Neither of my dogs will touch this even if I mix it with their old food and put a topper on it.
Doodle love it
Our doodle has issues with so many other brands. Either he would not eat it or they upset his stomach. The limited ingredients made the difference and the ability to get a one meat based product. He loves this food and even tho he gets home cooked meals I like having a kibble he can eat for one of his meals a day.
Great Overly Priced Dog Food
My dog likes the food, it took some time to transition to this food from the food she was used to eating but she is doing well on it. I just think the price is just a bit high. It could be a little bit more reasonable. There is absolutely no reason to charge such an outrageous price for a dog food. I don't think I can keep feeding her this food, she needs it, at the price.

Excellent for yeast control!
My 6 year old German shepherd has struggled with yeast infections for most of his life. It got bad enough that, paired with hypothyroidism, it caused him to loose the fur on his chest and belly. In my endless hours of research for limited yeast diet I came across information on this dog food as a top recommendation for limited yeast. Decided to try it and see if I noticed any improvements. Within a month his skin and ears cleared up and he was no longer excessively scratching! Definitely worth the money in my opinion. It does have a strong fishy smell and makes his poo very dark, but he eats the kibble with no fuss. Highly recommend!
