  • Great for golden with food allergies

    By on

We have tried six different foods ranging from Royal Canin GI and hydrolyzed protein prescription diet to Taste of the Wild High Prairie and my golden had bloody diarrhea and vomiting with every food. We were at wits end. Then we tried this food with some of the canned rabbit limited ingredient food. Finally no diarrhea or vomiting. What a life saver. We transitioned while the dog was on Flagyl which also helped. If you have a dog with similar problems I would recommend a similar transition our dog for sure would have had diarrhea no matter the timeline of the transition, do with flagyl on board she was good to go and has been great for a couple months now.

  • Too high in fiber!

    By on

I purchased this food as a limited ingredient diet for my rescue American Bully, who has skin allergies. The rabbit-pumpkin formula did clear up her itching and chronic ear infections. BUT this food is much higher in fiber than other premium dog foods! My dog's stools are voluminous, and she has begun having accidents in the house and waking us at night to rush outside. She has also lost a significant amount of weight in just 2 months, despite my feeding her almost DOUBLE the amount she ate on her previous (also premium) diet. her coat is dull and dry. I will not continue feeding this diet.

  • My dogs LOVE it!

My dogs always been a fan of Rabbit dog food and I always feed them Nature's Variety Instinct LID Rabbit however they decided to discontinue it a few years ago WITHOUT warning! Could not find any LID Rabbit after that for some time. Just found this last month and my dogs GOBBLED it up without any digestion issues. I also do feed them Grandma Lucy's Pureformance Grain-Free Rabbit Freeze-Dried along with their dry. Was happy to see dogfoodadvisor also gave this product 5 Stars too

  • Wanted it to work but it didn't

We have a GSD that has had tummy issues ever since she was a puppy. We have tried at least 10 different brands and we were hoping this was the answer but unfortunately it was not. I read a lot of the reviews and people were complaining of smelly poops and it does in fact give your pup smell poo's but I was willing to deal with that if it helped her sensitive tummy but it didnt.

  • Great for my GSD with food allergies

    By on

My German Shepherd has been intolerant of most other foods I've given him. For several months, our vet had him on prescription food with rabbit protein which helped, but was incredibly expensive. We switched to this rabbit and pumpkin formula and he's doing even better with this than he was on the prescription stuff. Very, very happy we gave this a try. He's much more comfortable and no longer having any digestive issues since we started feeding this. Highly recommend if you have a GSD who can't tolerate chicken especially.

  • Truly a God send!

My girl has terrible allergies and we have tried everything. The best thing before finding this was the Earthborn meadow feast, which she does pretty good on. This stuff she does GREAT! Her coat is finally right and she's not itchy anymore. I'm so excited to finally find something that really makes her feel good again. Thanks a million!

  • Perfect for allergies!

    By on

After feeding this food for less than a month, my dog has stopped itching and chewing herself! Her tear and saliva stains are drastically reduced, and she is no longer licking her pads, legs, hind end etc etc... her stool is firm on this food as well, she seems to digest it well with one exception. It gives her gas! But that aside, I can deal with a few dog farts if it means she's no longer miserably itchy. She also has tons of energy on this food, but maybe that's an indication that the other foods weren't very compatible with her system and now it's functioning properly...? Anyway. I definitely recommend this food! She eats every bite and is normally picky.

When i first gave this food to my dog he slowly ate it. As the days past he grew to liking it alot more. Now when I give it to him he scarfs it down. I really would reccomend this dry food to people who want unique formulas for dogs with allergies. I am sure that one of these formulas that is offered ur dog would love.

I have tried numerous foods for my picky shih tzus who seemed to have continuous staining. I switched to this food and it stopped. I cant stand the way the poop smells but i can tolerate it if they are healthy.

  • Not Impressed

    By on

After feeding Fromm and Acana for years I hoped that this food would deliver the same quality as it comes in at a similar price point. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I am finding that I am having to feed quite a bit more of this food to keep weight on my dogs. Also, their stools are extremely large and soft. Not what you'd expect from a grain-free premium food. Definitely will be switching back after this bag.
