Bunnies and human approved!
I was very impressed with this first order of hay! The stems were nice and long and not dusty at all. They also were a nice color and smelled like good hay should. My rabbits loved it and I love the 100% recyclable packaging with no plastic. Fingers crossed that the next order I place is just as good!
goods and bads
The pigs seem to like the variety in this. The hay looked good and green. But it's super dusty. If feeding outside I'd be happy with it, but feeding inside with all that dust makes it an issue for me that I will not be able to continue to buy.
Love that it's local
My lionhead rabbit gets so excited when I give him this hay, and I love that it's locally grown (we live in New York). The one thing I'll say is that it's a bit messy—the hay is quite long and tangles easily, so often some of it ends up on the floor when I'm pulling out a handful. I think it would be great for someone who has a garage or more outdoorsy area to store it in.
Best Timothy Hay
This is, by far, the best Timothy hay we’ve purchased for our Guinea pigs. It’s long and tender and doesn’t all get pulled through the feeder and spoiled like the shorter, coarser stuff. Definitely worth the time to order it online rather than picking up what’s available in stores. Quick delivery too.
Great smell
I have been looking for a new product only to use less plastic. I love that this hay is not wrapped in plastic and the box can be used as a dig box after use. My bunny (Princess Bunnycup) enjoyed the product, even my cats took nibbles of the hay.
I didn't realize it was a mixture of hay and grasses.
My guinea pigs seem to enjoy eating this, but at first they were getting soft, sometimes runny stools since their primary diet has been Timothy hay. I didn't realize this was a mixture. I also wish it was cut smaller, as it is difficult to feed them without making a huge mess and some of the grasses are able to cut up your fingers.
Green, fresh hay!
My rabbits have been really enjoying this hay blend! This is our first time trying, and I’m always a little hesitant when trying new hay brands. However, I was pleasantly surprised to open the box and see lots of green, fresh hay with very few brown pieces or dust. The hay smelled fresh, and I was shocked to see how much hay was actually in this 6 pound box! My rabbits are usually really picky hay eaters, but they immediately dove into the box and started chowing down. After feeding this to them for two days I began noticing a huge difference in their poop as well! (Things us bun moms care about haha!) But the hay seemed to really help their digestive tract by producing nice golden round poops, which made me very happy to see! I would definitely recommend purchasing this hay and will be a repeat customer!
My holland lop loves it!
I recently received my first box of Eaton Pet & Pasture hay, and I’ve already noticed a difference in my rabbit’s eating habits. She doesn’t seem as picky (with typical timothy hay she will ignore certain pieces). Her droppings are also a lighter golden color since feeding this hay.
great hay that my bunny loves
I tried Eaton Pet & Pasture Hay after several other brands had failed to provide the quality of hay that my rabbit needed to support his gut & tooth health. I opened the box of this hay and was immediately thrilled to see how green, lush, and fresh it was! The box was also packed to the brim, so I feel that the price is certainly worth it for the quantity and quality. My rabbit is so picky about hay, but he immediately took to this hay. I think the addition of Orchard Grass adds to his excitement. There are a few brown pieces within the hay, but that’s to be expected with softer hay like orchard. Overall, I’d definitely recommend trying this hay with your small pet!
Fresh mix of first cut and orchard!
It's a nice combo to have high-fiber first cut hay and orchard! My rabbit and guinea pig ran to the box as soon as it was opened - smelled good to all of us!
