Size

To get the most accurate size harness for your furry best friend, measure the girth of their chest, just behind the front legs, with a cloth tape measure. Pull the tape snug, but not tight. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there’s enough room for about two fingers between the harness and your pup’s chest.

Chest Girth: To make sure you purchase the right size harness for your canine companion, wrap the tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, right behind the front legs. This is the most important part!

Lower Neck: Harnesses sit lower on the neck than collars, so measure from the lower part of the dog’s neck to make sure it's the right size for your pal.

    Search for good harness continues...

First of all, this is an extremely cute harness. I have no issue with the quality of the product. What I didn't like is the sizing. This was the second time I purchased the harness for my dog. First one was when he was a puppy and the recent one was when he was full grown. I can say that the harness is not for every dog breed shape. When he was a puppy, the harness fit him perfectly. However, now that he is full grown, the length from the neck to behind his front leg(?) is too short and harness digs into his armpit. First time he wore it, there were red marks on his armpit after his walk. Now it's one of those instances where as soon as I put the harness on him, he freezes and does not want to First of all, this is an extremely cute harness. Sadly, I will be donating mine. If your dog has a large chest compared to the rest of the body, I wouldn't get it. For smaller breeds, I think it would be fine. … more

    Too small.

    By on

Size is smaller than described. We have a small frenchie who is only 13 weeks old and ordered a small. It was so small we couldn't even fit his head through the hole. Appears to be for very tiny toy dogs only. Would not buy again.

    Not true to size

    By on

No longer shopping with Chewy. Items dont match size chart. Some run too big and some too small. Billing issues occurred and supervisors are less than helpful.

    Comfortable, ergonomic harness

    By on

My puppy does not like to wear collars or harnesses but she accepts this one as "the lesser of two evils", and I am delighted to be able to handle her with greater ease.

    Not adjustable

    By on

The head opening is not adjustable and the large was too small for my 29 pound dog

    Harness is not chew proof!

    By on

The dog was comfortable and it was easy to make him walk with me but Flash is a chewer and ate it right off his body after his first walk. I guess I should have taken it off as soon as we were home but I wanted him to get use to wearing it.

    Great harness

    By on

I had ordered this harness because my boy is over weight. It's comfort and design is great. Chewy helped me in ordering and helped me throughout. I previously ordered different harness and called them to send back, they required for me to donate to shelter and credited my account.

    does the job

She is still wild so that I worry about the regular neck collars. This seems safer for now.

    Perfect for my pug

    By on Top 250 Contributor

My pug has collapsed trachea, so there are many trips to the vet. Since he can't wear a collar, but is way too heavy for me to carry him, these trips are always a nerve-wracking experience because the vet is right on a busy highway. I had looked at many harnesses, but none seemed to suit his needs: easy to get on, light, and didn't press on his neck. I finally decided to try this, and I am so glad I did. I ordered the biggest harness available, and it's perfect. Very easy to get on, very light, and while it's just a shade to big, it doesn't press against him. Thank you Chewy!!!!!
