Instructions

Cleaning: Pump should be cleaned when water flow is visibly reduced. First, unplug the pump’s power cord, then remove the pump from the water (do not use power cord to lift the pump). Carefully and firmly pull the snap-on cover from the pump body. Remove the pre-filter sponge and wash thoroughly in fresh water (a blocked sponge will reduce the pump flow rate and performance). Cleaning frequency will depend upon water condition and use, but it is recommended to inspect the filter every 2-3 months.

Maintenance: The only serviceable parts are the impeller and filter. Remove the impeller assembly by turning the cover counterclockwise to release lock. Firmly pull away from the pump motor. Carefully remove impeller. Wash parts carefully with fresh water. Once you have cleaned the pump, reassemble it in reverse order.

    Works great!

    By on Top 500 Contributor

This pump works so good for hubby’s 90 gallon turtle tank that he bought one for the outside turtle pool! They haven’t broke anything on it, which is saying something!

Incorrectly described as suitable for inline use

    By on

The ECO100 pump probably works fine as a submersible. I am giving it one star because the product description incorrectly describes it as adaptable for inline use. It is not. Some of the larger pumps in the series are adaptable for inline use, but the ECO100 is for submersible use only.

    Pump Review

    By on

This pump has suction cups at the bottom of it to stick to a tank, and interchangeable valves for different size hoses which is very nice. It is also very quiet. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it flows a good amount of water, but the pressure of the water flow is very low. I was expecting more pressure.

    good output

    By on

I had actually bought this for a waterfall but the output is very strong and it is larger than I expected. May hold on to it for when I set up for Axolotls.

    Great Pump

    By on

Thank goodness I had this pump. I was upsizing to a bigger aquarium and added a sump. This pump was really useful for moving 60 gallons of water from 12 - 5 gallon buckets of salt water. VERY QUICKLY AND EASILY.

Perfect for small fish and shrimp

    By on

I use this filter in a polyester tube for my shrimp and betta tank. It has enough strength to filter the water but not to much where it harms the fish inside the tank. It is pretty quiet as well, I have bubbles running into it and it's still pretty quiet.

    Versatile pumps

    By on

I bought 2. Used 1 for powerhead in my tank and other for pumping my ro/di water in changes. Also great for mixing salt for water changes. Only complaint is how much noise they make. Seem to quiet a bit after some wear on them.
