Important: To prevent the occurrence of skin irritations, the collar receiver should never be worn for more than 12 hours per day. Should your dog experience skin irritations from over exposure to the contact points, remove the collar receiver unit immediately and stop using your e-collar until all skin irritations are completely healed.
Training Tips
E-Collars can be used to reinforce commands your dog already knows or as a learning sensation when paired with leash pressure. It is not a replacement for basic leash obedience training, but a tool to allow you to better communicate with your dog.
For best results, use the least amount of stimulation required to get the attention of your dog. A calm and consistent approach to training will always produce better long term results.
It is highly recommended that aggressive dogs be taken to a professional trainer for evaluation before e-collar use.
First time users should immerse themselves in learning about the proper techniques or seek a professional e-collar trainer. The technique used in the initial introduction of the e-collar is very important to the success of e-collar training.
Battery Maintenance
Do not allow the batteries to get hot or be fully discharged, store at room temperature and 50% capacity charge.
Troubleshooting
My Receiver / Transmitter is not turning on. Make sure the collar receiver is fully charged. Collar receiver light should turn green when the battery is connected to the charger.
My Receiver is not responding. Check Receiver’s indicator light is blinking green and Transmitter LCD is on. Check to make sure the collar receiver’s indicator light is red when the stimulation button is pressed. Try pairing/syncing the transmitter to the receiver.
The receiver doesn't seem to provide stimulation to the dog. Remove Contact points from Receiver. Connect Test Light to the receiver and test for stimulation. If the test light is blinking, receiver is providing stimulation.
Max range of device has been decreased. Check Transmitter’s battery condition. Working range decreases when the battery level is low. Keep your fingers from touching the antenna. See the bottom of page 8 for the proper technique to maximize range.
You cannot change the stimulation level for of the remote. Make sure 1D or 2D on transmitter LCD is blinking. If 1D or 2D icons are solid, you cannot change stimulation. You can unlock the stimulation at any time by pressing the stimulation knob for 2 seconds.

Correctly Fitting the Collar
The collar should be adjusted to allow the “contact points” to have direct contact with the skin. You should be able to fit a couple of fingers between the collar strap and your dog's skin. Too tight poses the risk of skin irritation and discomfort. Too loose and the contact points will not be able to administer the stimulation reliably and can cause skin irritation due to chafing. Short hair breeds may need the 3/8" microprobes offered as an accessory item, contact customer service for details. The optimal position for the collar receiver is on either side of the dog’s windpipe. If the factory installed 5/8” contact points are not making good contact due to thick fur, see page 24 for changing contact point.
To prevent the occurrence of skin irritations the Collar Receiver should never be worn for more than 12 hours per day. Should your dog experience skin irritations from over exposure to the contact points remove the collar receiver unit immediately and stop using your e-collar until all skin irritations are completely healed. Antibiotic ointment will aid in the healing process. Some dog breeds have extra thick fur or extra short fur that requires special contact points.
Will I be able to train my puppy to listen to my commands?
Yes, The ET-300 Mini Educator 1/2 mile remote trainer employs our proprietary "blunt" stimulation for humane and effective remote dog training. The ET300 Collar Mini Educator will turn a smart, stubborn dog into a genius.
2-Year Warranty.

Great Product! Get a professional trainer to learn how to use it correctly!
By Nona531 on Feb 7, 2021
This is a GREAT product. It's expensive but it's worth the price, because of the high quality, "blunted stimulation" and 100 levels. You can easily customize stimulations based on the sensitivity of your dog! The cheap "shock" collars you can get at pet stores are NOT the same thing as an E Collar!!! Those ones can truly hurt your dog, this collar is not the same thing. I got this E collar based on recommendations from my balanced dog trainer and I spent several session learning how to use the E collar appropriately, teaching her the meaning of what the stimulation means! I have a golden retriever and the longer prongs weren't super consistent with contact, so I ended up getting the winged comfort pad as well and now I can use the e collar, at her working level which is a 6-8 usually. Hope this helps if you're on the fence! I definitely recommend professional help with the E collar if you're new to it (either virtual or in person), so that you don't mess up your dog accidentally! … more

Difficult to use
By Kathy on Jan 20, 2021
I bought the model of this E-collar that controls two dogs. It came with two collars. I find it very difficult to use. I refer to the manual often and have called their help line twice. Be prepared to wait a long time before getting help from the help line. The functions do not operate as the manual states they will. I wish I bought something more straightforward.

An Excellent Product
By SueMac on Feb 2, 2021
I've purchased a number of similar collars over the years and been disappointed with them,. This one is perfect! Easy to program, works well, charges quickly, and the collar itself is not so stiff and awkward. Very satisfactory. Highly recommended.

Unreliable and distruptive
By ECollarTechEducator on Jan 17, 2021
IT DOES NOT HAVE A 1/2 MILE RANGE!!! I have done everything possible to get this this to work properly and it consistently looses connectivity to the controller on top of that, when it does work the Shock portion of this, goes from mild to OMG in the blink of an eye, traumatizing my pup. I do not recommend this.

Disappointed w/ re-purchase
By Emily on Jan 18, 2021
We have a hyper-active labrador that responds really well to training collars. Prior to our most recent purchase we had our previous mini educator for almost 6 years. While we did have to replace the batteries a few times, it was due to normal wear and tear. The "old" collar would last us 3 or 4 days before having to be recharged. We're lucky if this new one lasts us two days. For the cost of this I am pretty disappointed. It doesn't seem to hold up to the quality of their previous versions.

Works well, very durable & effective
By HappyHome on Dec 30, 2020
This collar works well and is very durable (The remote survived being accidentally dunked into a jacuzzi!) The light is brilliant for night walks, so people and cars can see your small pup near the ground (If you put the collar on your dog light down, it doesn't flash into their eyes & it provides a better guide for them to see what's right in front of them/what they're sniffing at) You can put the collar on loosely and the metal prongs still touch your dog without uncomfortably poking into them. I alternate between the vibrate and beeping settings - they're both enough to get their attention for training (The vibration is the same as a cell phone vibration, harmless but effective). My only complaint is the battery - it lasts about a day but you have to charge it every night and tonight it turned off on me mid-walk... … more

Best Tool I’ve ever used!!
By Angela on Feb 1, 2021
My service dog and I have been using this tool for about a year. It’s helped him improve drastically with training and basic obedience. Definitely, 100% recommend. Also use with proper technique and training skills!

Great while it worked
By Ecollar on Feb 4, 2021
Worked well and our boxer responded to it well. After about a year, it stopped working. Although charged both units, still did not work. A lot of money for something that only worked a year or less!

Great results, fast
By Jill on Nov 24, 2020
We had two behavior modifications in mind for our 1 year old terrier / pit mix: stop "playing" with the cats and relax when someone is near the door. She has been very responsive to treat training except in these two circumstances. Here's how we handled both: first we told her "no" and/or to "leave it". If she didn't listen, she got a tap. In most situations this was enough to divert her attention so I could get her to come to me or sit and stay. If the tap didn't work we said "no" again then used the next level shock. Within a day her behavior was greatly improved. After a week she was self correcting herself. She still has work to do but is much happier. This Collar is Garbage
By UpWithPup on Mar 23, 2021
This collar is hard to use. Delivers unreliable shock, which hurt my dog. Now he is anxious all the time.
