Instructions
Important: To prevent the occurrence of skin irritations, the collar receiver should never be worn for more than 12 hours per day. Should your dog experience skin irritations from over exposure to the contact points, remove the collar receiver unit immediately and stop using your e-collar until all skin irritations are completely healed.
Training Tips
E-Collars can be used to reinforce commands your dog already knows or as a learning sensation when paired with leash pressure. It is not a replacement for basic leash obedience training, but a tool to allow you to better communicate with your dog.
For best results, use the least amount of stimulation required to get the attention of your dog. A calm and consistent approach to training will always produce better long term results.
It is highly recommended that aggressive dogs be taken to a professional trainer for evaluation before e-collar use.
First time users should immerse themselves in learning about the proper techniques or seek a professional e-collar trainer. The technique used in the initial introduction of the e-collar is very important to the success of e-collar training.
Battery Maintenance
Do not allow the batteries to get hot or be fully discharged, store at room temperature and 50% capacity charge.
Troubleshooting
My Receiver / Transmitter is not turning on. Make sure the collar receiver is fully charged. Collar receiver light should turn green when the battery is connected to the charger.
My Receiver is not responding. Check Receiver’s indicator light is blinking green and Transmitter LCD is on. Check to make sure the collar receiver’s indicator light is red when the stimulation button is pressed. Try pairing/syncing the transmitter to the receiver.
The receiver doesn't seem to provide stimulation to the dog. Remove Contact points from Receiver. Connect Test Light to the receiver and test for stimulation. If the test light is blinking, receiver is providing stimulation.
Max range of device has been decreased. Check Transmitter’s battery condition. Working range decreases when the battery level is low. Keep your fingers from touching the antenna. See the bottom of page 8 for the proper technique to maximize range.
You cannot change the stimulation level for of the remote. Make sure 1D or 2D on transmitter LCD is blinking. If 1D or 2D icons are solid, you cannot change stimulation. You can unlock the stimulation at any time by pressing the stimulation knob for 2 seconds.

Correctly Fitting the Collar
The collar should be adjusted to allow the “contact points” to have direct contact with the skin. You should be able to fit a couple of fingers between the collar strap and your dog's skin. Too tight poses the risk of skin irritation and discomfort. Too loose and the contact points will not be able to administer the stimulation reliably and can cause skin irritation due to chafing. Short hair breeds may need the 3/8" microprobes offered as an accessory item, contact customer service for details. The optimal position for the collar receiver is on either side of the dog’s windpipe. If the factory installed 5/8” contact points are not making good contact due to thick fur, see page 24 for changing contact point.

Steady unit
I bought a few of these directly from educators website for my own working dog and 2 friends pet dogs. Delay between you pressing the button and collar activating is basically non-existent, it’s a great product. As any training collar, it must be used under guidance of professional trainer (for online material I highly recommend Tyler Muto’s course on “consider the dog”). I’ve ran into an issue with one of the remotes needing to be replaced due to crack in plastic core and it took just one phone call to Educator to resolve this. 10/10 for majority of dogs. Get a band with bungee/elastic to insure consistent contact.
Peace of mind by training our dog
This device has 100 levels of static pulses as well as a plain vibrating option. Also a bright LED light that can be set to flash or stay on. After training our dog, now 18 months old, to know the basic commands, we still had issues with some hunting instinct or food-related disappearing acts. One or two electric stimuli in the beginning of her wearing the collar, when she started running after a turkeys or stayed behind eating coyote poop, made her realize she might get hurt, so now a simple buzz on the vibrate button reminds her. On our walks now, we have complete peace of mind and she gets lots of praise as we hardly even need to use the vibrate option either.
not right for my dogs
I understand that products like these can vary quite a bit and are not fit every dog. I bought these collars in March 2022 and have been working with my trainer to properly condition my dogs to the collars. I have two dogs so I thought this set up would be useful. Even at a 2 for stimulation, my 1.5 year old Australian shepherd puppy was not able to take to this collar well at all. We worked with our trainer once a week to make sure she was properly introduced to the collar but she became extremely cautious of the collar, fast. Over the past 6 months she has lost most of her drive to work and both our trainer and I think it’s due to these collars. Herding breeds are naturally a little more nervy, but this was extreme. I’ve been waiting to write my review to get an honest scope of the product. I stopped using these collars late October 2022, and have since noticed a huge change in behavior in my puppy. She’s opening back up, becoming more willing to work, and has gained back her biddability. My trainer is helping me rework her again to gain back her confidence and trust. I’m sure this tool is awesome for some dogs, but I’m having to rebuild my dogs confidence from the ground up because of the stimulation.
Research required
This collar is overrated the problem with it is the charging doesn't last very long and God forbid if it should go red meaning blinking on the collar it even States it in the directions that you cannot let it go low in the battery it doesn't last long it does work well however but the problem with it is very complicated to utilize I would not recommend this color it cost me way more money than it is on this chewy.com I paid $300 for it not worth it
Awesome product!
I was nervous to purchase this because of how expensive it was and it not working but it works fantastic. I mainly purchased this for my dog who pulls and it has been wonders for our walks. I would recommend this to anyone. I would talk with a trainer or watch some videos to make sure you are using enforcement correctly but it is definitely a must have product.
Best product
I have 147 pound American bulldog/boxer and he was so bad he wanted to charge at other dogs, I decided to give this a try after all the other dog training classes that we went to and this is the only thing that got him trained. I don’t even have to use it now he just looks at that yellow transmitter and he knows how to act, but if he does act out, I will vibrate first let him know I got before I would have to shock because I really do not want to use that but in a bad situation, I will use it but I don’t have to because my dog is completely train now.
Breaks a lot!
We bought this when we got our dog about 1.5 years ago. It works really well when it works, as others say of course it can help with many training things. BUT we have had to replace the receiver 6 times now, about every 3 months. The company has replaced it every time, but they said they will stop at 2 years when the warranty is up (even though the receiver won't be close to that old). While this product is great in theory, in long term use with an outdoor-loving dog it just doesn't seem like it can hold up. The issues have been that the receiver just gets really mixed signals from the remote (making me worried it will be too strong) or stops charging. And yes, we tighten the screws as directed. I'd recommend looking elsewhere for an ecollar, which is a bummer because this one has a lot of great features.

It works good , took a hot minute to figure out how to get it turned on and get the settings right. Directions are a bit confusing.
Extremely disappointed
To preface, I bough this collar in May of 2022. I have waited since December 2022 before writing a review. Chewy didn’t post my first review, so here I am writing it again. Be careful with these collars! I have a 1.5 year old Australian shepherd and a 2.5 year old Australian shepherd x border collie. I was recommended this brand of collar by my trainers to advance off leash and heel work. My dogs were conditioned to these collars via instructions of my trainer. My 2.5 year old dog struggled with the collars from the get go. We used her collar on around a 11/100 stimulus as that where we were able to mark her behavior and visually see she could feel it. She took to this collar better than my puppy, but still wasn’t able to connect with it and every step she took with it on you could tell she was fearful of making a mistake. The concept wasn’t connecting and she was extremely overwhelmed. We needed up pulling her from the e collar work and the difference in behavior changes were outrageous. This is a strong tool, even on low setting, and should be used as such. My puppy didn’t respond well either, even on stimulation 2/100. She is a sensitive dog in general (herding breeds typically are), but I didn’t expect this reaction. I couldn’t even feel the stimulation on my own skin but it was still to strong for her. We continued to try and work with her but ended up no longer using the e collar in the end of October 2022. While using this collar her confidence plummeted, her drive to work was destroyed, and she became fearful, all over a 2/100 stimulation. We do agility and the e collar set her back a lot in her training for agility as well. It was very difficult to see my very confident puppy fold in when this collar was being used. My obedience trainer and my agility trainer have been helping me rebuild my dogs confidence and drive over the past few months after no longer using the e collar. It has been a huge amount of work to have to retrain my dog. She has been bouncing back, slowly rebuilding what she lost and getting much more confident in her movements. But I’d be very weary of sensitive dogs because these collars are no joke, and can destroy your dog(s) so fast. Image of both my dogs wearing their e collars this spring when I purchased them.
The best purchase ever!
This collar has saved my dogs life and also made things so much fun for us. We go on the best adventures now and i have peace of mind. It was really easy to train her with it. I use the vibrator and call her name and she comes to me every single time. Immediately! No matter what. She loves other dogs but will ignore them if she is loose and I vibrate the collar. She comes if I vibrate while she is chasing a squirrel too. Once before she was really trained on the collar, but wearing it, she pulled so hard on her leash that I dropped it and she took off toward a 4 lane, very busy highway to go after a ground hog. I vibrated the collar and it worked, she stopped before she got to the highway. She would have for sure been hit by a car if she hadn't had the collar on. This collar saved her life!!! Now that we have this collar, I turn her loose in the woods, on trails, in remote areas of the park, etc. and she can run and sniff which is so much more fun than boring side-walk walks with a leash which we used to do before this collar. I now LOVE our walks as much as she does. The adventures are endless and different. She burns twice as much energy while she runs and trots around on her adventures, loose. I have a Coonhound so the nose leads with her and still the collar brings her to me 100%, every single time. The key is to make sure they understand what the vibrate command means. You don't just put the collar on and start beeping it. And you don't use it as punishment bc then they will be terrified of it. Use the collar as a replacement for your voice. To train: put the collar on, use a long lead and treats. Say the "come" command and then pull on the lead, vibrate the collar and reward with a yummy treat (not a dog treat, but something that they never get so it is extra exciting, like hot dogs). It took my dog about three days to learn and she got better each time. The hot dogs were the extra encouragement, lol. When I vibrate she runs to me for a piece of hot dog, lol. You need to start with small enclosed places and see if you can trust them and then graduate to bigger places. I have only used the shock two times. They learn quickly so you won't need to use it after that. You really will only need to use it once or twice in the beginning if they ignore the vibrate and they learn quickly that if they don't obey, the shock is next. You won't have to use it after that. The shock has 100 levels and the smaller levels are so light that you can barely feel it with your thumb so that gives you lots of room to make sure it won't hurt them. I barely even need to use the vibrate anymore either because I give her a voice command and she knows the vibrate is next if she doesn't come. Shock would be last resort, but really anytime the collar is on, she obeys without me using it. I am so grateful for this collar. We have so much more fun now and she is safe if she gets loose by accident and wants to go after something, I can instantly bring her back. It always works with her. Before the collar, she used to play, "Catch me if you can" in the street between moving cars, so this collar is a life saver. I highly, highly recommend!
