Should ordering 2 be sufficient for a 125 gallon ?

Great product

Holds my temperature right where I want it my tank is 100 gallons and the 150 watt heater is awesome. My water is at exactly 78 degrees . I got so tired of unplugging my last heater due to the water getting to warm when the house warmed up, but no need to do that any longer

Good thermostat

Be mindful what you order with it as it will be in same box with canned food and any other heavy thing banging into it. We had some paper in the box but not in a protective way for this item.

Good Product

The calibration adjustment is a bit tricky, but once set properly it keeps the temperature constant and stable in my tank. I was using this same heater to set up my son's tank, but it fell during transit. I tried using it and the indicator light did light up and stayed on, but the water temperature did not reach my set point, so I bought a new one. All is ok now. Heaters do fail especially with age.

Hot Hot Hot

This thing will not stop heating my tank. I have a 55 gallon and no matter what temp I turn this too it wants the water to be around 80 degrees... I got a more powerful heater because this room is always cold, and I guess 80 is fine for most fish, but my goldfish prefer a little less than this but this heater just has a mind of its own. I've been dialing down the thermometer temperature every day to see if I can get it closer to 70. So far the lowest it has gone is 77, today I set the dial to 69, I'll keep going down each day to see if it will get the water less hot.

Not Consistent

Unfortunately, I experienced inconsistent heating like many others. The water would get quite cold before it would turn back on regardless of temperature setting.

issues with heating up 150 watt Eheim heater

I'm not sure if this heater is too small for my tank (Waterbox 50.3) or its just not that good. I have it set to 83 (highest setting) and it only gets to 77.6 tops. Its not even a month old. I am going to save it for a backup and buy a 200 watt of another brand.
