Cleanliness is next to Cod-liness—keep your fishies' tank in great shape between washes with Eheim’s Quick Vac Automatic Gravel Cleaner & Sludge Extractor! This battery powered vacuum is perfect for scrubbing substrates clean with ease and precision between regular water changes. Its suction is engineered to get rid of dirt and particles that might otherwise accumulate in your tank and lead to murky water and potentially sick fish. Plus, this handy vac features a mesh filter that collects unwanted debris while allowing water to flow freely back into the aquarium.
Fully submersible up to 3 feet.
Simple to use—doesn’t require buckets or hoses.
Super-fine mesh cartridge traps debris while remaining easy to clean.
Easily removes particles from topmost layer of substrate without disturbing the bottom layer of gravel.
Decreases the build-up of harmful toxins in your aquarium while reducing strain on your filter.
I never write reviews so it shows how impressed I am for me to do this. This is the best gravel vacuum I’ve ever had. Because it doesn’t siphon water out of the tank as it cleans it illuminates the panic of trying to vacuum the gravel before the water level gets too low. Life changing For aquarium owners. Gives you all the time in the world to clean the waste out of your aquarium properly without stress. Highly recommend!
I love this vac!

Bought this 6 months ago and fell in love with it. Can be broke down for easy cleaning, a must have for any tank over 15 gallon!
Uses 4 AA Batteries

This item works well, but having to replace the batteries made it too expensive for me to use often. I purchased a similar item that I can plug in, is submersible, works better, and cost less. I would advise against buying this item when there are better, more affordable ones on the market.
FAULTY and expensive.

For the cost I assumed that this would be well manufactured. However I used it once and it did a decent job, scared the heck out of my axolotl though, then the very next time I pulled it out and it turned on for a second before completely dying. It was clean and I had new batteries but its dead. Not even a sound to indicate the motor trying to function. Disappointed and frustrated.

This doesn’t vacuum anything properly. It’s a shame because it sounded promising but don’t waste your money!
Great idea Quickly looses power

In the beginning the cleanup was fast and fun in my 55 gal fresh water tank. It took a bit longer than I wanted, but watching the debris float into the filter was mesmerizing. Not having to use a bucket for dirty water was liberating.
After a couple of uses the motor whined and I changed the batteries. It was a slight improvement but next use it slowed considerably. I think I have used in about 12 times in two years and today I put in new batteries and there's no suction. So I can't recommend it, I'm looking for a replacement and throwing this out. "Caveat emptor".
not that great

The vac works but it does not catch all the dirt in its little net, it only gets the large stuff and the fine stuff goes right thru and you end up with cloudy water. So my feeling is if they cut the price in half it would be worth it.

This vac does a fine job. My only wish....MORE POWER....LOL. It is a very useful tool and I have recommended it already. As for a Chewy, I tell everyone that I love, love, love you. When I see people lugging bags of food around the store, I tell them, "Oh my God, maybe you should give Chewy a try. Comparable prices and delivery! You can't beat that!" Always recommended.

This is great to use between water changes! Or if you remove an aquarium ornament and find a stash of decaying food that you need to remove. The water and debri goes in, and water comes back out.
