Have always had excellent experiences with Eheim products in the past. The last 3 aquarium heaters that I purchased, only lasted on average 2-3 months. Either the pilot,(on-off) light doesn’t ever come on, when heating, or when the pilot light, stays on, but the heater, never heats up. But, I still keep buying them. When you get a good one, it will last forever!
I struggled for months with the temp. It was up and down all the time. Decided to discard this heater. Purchased a Marineland for half the price and it works perfectly.
I've had the best luck with Eheim aquarium heaters (100-300w) in both Fresh water and Marine Reef setups over the years for this price range. Temperature stability has been great. I like the green and red LED feature that lets you know at a glance that the heater is heating (red) or in Stand-By (green). No lights would be a problem. All heaters fail depending on the environment & maintenance but the Eheim's have lasted the longest for me.
I'm concerned as I have bought more than 2 of these heaters. It appears the stay on the red light most of the time. I imagine x2 heaters pulling 600w is keeping my light bill high. I need to return as they are not doing the job that is needed for my discus tank.
I got this heater for my 20 gallon aquarium and it quickly got the water up to temperature. I like that the knob to adjust the heat settings is on the top and easily accessible. Good product.
Slick design its fully submersible and very accurate temp setting
Red/green light display lets me know temp is accurate. Tropical fish in this 20 gal love it.
Holds the temperature perfectly, love that it is fully submersible and has a dry-run fail safe. Easy to install and set temperature.
Works great in my 55 gallon tank. I love it!!!!!!!!
