Instructions

  • Remove one applicator tube from the blister package.
  • Hold the applicator tube in an upright position.
  • Press cap down until it clicks (indicating that the tube has been punctured). (See Figure 1.) Hold upright and remove cap. Check to be sure there is an opening at the tip of the tube.
  • Part the hair on the neck at the base of the head until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube directly above the skin and squeeze the tube 2-4 times to expel the contents of the tube directly on the skin. For best results, apply at the base of the head, not between shoulder blades. Avoid getting the product in your pet's eyes or mouth. Treatment at the base of the head will minimize the opportunity for the cat to directly lick the product. Do not allow your cat to ingest this product. (There may be a small residual remaining in the tube after a full dose is expelled).
  • Discard the empty applicator tube in the trash.

Do not allow your cat to ingest this product. For cats weighing over 20lbs, using more than 1 single dose is not advised. As with any product, consult your veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals or animals known to be sensitive to pesticides. Monitor your cat after application. Side effects may include signs of application site reactions such as application site hair loss, hair change (greasy, clumping or matting) or redness, inflammation and itching. Other side effects such as inactivity, vomiting and inappetance have also been reported. If these or any other side effects occur, consult your veterinarian, your cat’s healthcare expert.

When these fleas jump onto the cat, they will be killed quickly by Cheristin for cats.If you see fleas on your cat within a month after your pet receives flea treatment with Cheristin for cats, it is most likely these are new fleas that have very recently emerged from pupae and jumped onto the cat. These new fleas will be killed quickly before they can produce eggs that contaminate the environment.Consistent monthly application of Cheristin for cats should be maintained to provide continued protection for your cat against these fleas.

Q: How long does Cheristin for cats last?

  • Best Flea Treatment

    By on

My 16 year old cat, Sue, has been inundated with fleas! I've tried every topical product on the market, plus having my apartment professionally treated. She still had fleas! Then I came across Cheristin Flea Treatment..and finally, SUCCESS!! It's a miracle. That night my Sue slept the night through, and I could even hear her snoring. Thank you so much for giving her lasting relief.

  • So far, so good

    By on

It's been a week and the fleas are non existent. My 4 fur babies are inside cats and sometimes we dog sit so fleas are brought in. Where we live in South Carolina, the flea season has been quite different in that the fleas are larger and are not affected by our normal prescription topical, and every 3 weeks, we were spraying the house and applying topicals. The cats were miserable! After reading the reviews, which I do on everything nowadays, I wanted to try Cheristin. There is no smell or oily spot and it is simple to use. My cats are not scratching, seem happier and are back to sleeping all day as normal. If there are any negative changes in the days to come, I will update.

  • The best flea product I have ever purchased

    By on

I have two cats at home, a three year old and a 10 year old and have bought all kinds of things to help control the fleas in the house. Nothing has been as effect as this. This product is absolutely amazing! Within hours of putting it on there were dead fleas! Almost all of the fleas are gone. The fleas have been reduced by at least 95%!! I am so glad that I purchased this and this will be my only go to for flea medicine.

  • Still Searching for Solution

My vet’s office recommended Cheristin for my 2 indoor cats as they feel that fleas are becoming resistant to Frontline and Advantage. I’ve tried the product on both cats twice, and fleas reappear after about two weeks, so it does not appear to be effective for my two feline friends. But it may be effective for others — you just never know,

  • Now I get it!

    By on

When I discovered my two indoor-only cats and apartment were infested with fleas, I threw up a little in my mouth. I had this happen once 10 years ago and it was a four week torturous ordeal to get under control. This time I tried Cherishin based on the recommendation from my vet and a knowledgeable fellow cat lady. The fleas (and eggs!) were dead and falling off their bodies in no time at all and two weeks later there is still no evidence of anything on them! I took care of my apartment and I feel fairly certain everything is gone. So glad I got this product instead of the one I used last time to which the fleas were resistant.

  • Vet Recommended

    By on

When we adopted our cat from the pound she had flea dander. The vet gave us a sample of Cheristin to try. Then when we had her fixed a few months later she picked up some fleas from the other animals. We tried flea meds from the store and they didn't work. The vet recommended the Cheristin for our cat and it took care of all the fleas she had!

  • Not what I hoped for

    By on

As other people have experienced, fleas have become resistant to the flea treatments that used to work well. I was hoping this would work, but it was less than a week after treatment when my cats began scratching again. It was easy to apply and didn't have a strong scent (which really helped with the application, as my cats have hated strong scented flea treatments in the past). I'm in Florida on the gulf coast. Maybe fleas in other areas are not resistant to this pesticide yet, so it might work well for others.

After YEARS (yes years) of trying everything that really worked, I finally found Cheristin. Apparently fleas are becoming immune to the typical flea treatments. This one really works as it is supposed to. You won't be sorry!!
