Good quality
The “crate pad” that comes with it is a literal joke. It’s a hard, thin piece of foam with the cheapest cover imaginable. But otherwise seems well-made. Lightweight and easy to set-up. We put our dog’s bed inside and he immediately went in and laid down. Side note: it should go without saying but based on other reviews it needs to be said - soft crates like this one are not for crate-training, puppies who chew everything, or escape artists.
Light and portable
First- my dog is crate trained and unless you have crate trained your dog, I would not recommend this. If you are looking for a light weight and portable crate option, this is fantastic! Multiple entry points, offers a lot of ventilation, easy to pop out and fold up, and comes with a minimally cushioned bed. I have added a crate liner on top because my dog likes it extra cushy. I haven’t had it long, it feels well made. and again my dog is crate trained (doesn’t chew and associates crate to safe/comfort zone, etc) so I’m not sure I can say much to durability.
Great crate for what needed
I have my 7 month golden doodle trained to sleep in a metal large crate. We plan to travel north for the winter. That metal crate is very heavy to set up and take down. Thought I would try this soft crate. It was very easy to set up and very light to carry. My Goldie settled in it the first night and no problems. I am relieved to have this for taking it over to my petsitter as well. I highly recommend it. I have also covered it at night, and the civer that goes over my metal crate works perfectly for this soft crate.
Beautiful and easy to use
This is a lovely portable crate that's very functional. I write this review solely to warn guardians of escape artists, because our little menace jailbroke this crate by UNZIPPING THE TOP ZIPPER in under an hour while we were at a wedding, and then gymnastics vaulted herself out of the crate to freedom. (The crate was unharmed during this process.) I'm pretty sure this is a "my dog" problem, not a "this crate" problem, so I still recommend it for the quality. Great quality and easy to use!
We are so pleasantly surprised. The make and materials seem really good quality, it is so much easier to set up than our other crate, there are a ton of zippers and bags and latches and things so it’s very convenient. We filled it with treats and our pup seems to love it so far!!
Kitty Crate also
Wonderful, soft sided crate. We will be travelling with our two kittens soon and bought one large enough so that they could travel together. We set it up in the kitchen before hand so they could get used to being in it and it became their favorite place to play. Travel with them was a breeze. Highly recommend this crate; it is rugged, easy to set up, easy access from front and top. And, of course, Chewy customer is always five star!
Love this dog carrier!
We love the style of this carrier. Very easy setup and all the different zippers and compartments are nice. Very versatile, nice quality, and easy to travel with. We bought this for our road trips with our 30lb Aussie doodle. He does nicely in it.
Convenient
We are in puppy stage; being able to lift her in and out from the top is very convenient. Later she'll be able to come and go from the front door. Very cleanable. I would recommend to the manufacturer that extra mat covers be made available as frequent washing is necessary especially during training.
such a nice crate
I have a senior dog with dementia who's started having seizures. I needed a safe place to put her when we leave the house. I ordered this crate in the sage green. the color is exactly as pictured. I literally put it together in 2 minutes without reading the instructions. Peanut settled right into it. It's so easy to set up and break down. I'm so happy with it.
No match for a... 13 week old puppy?
We bought this as a secondary crate for our 13-week-old springer spaniel puppy. In the span of a week, she has ripped out and ruined one of the support arms, chewed the strapping within an inch of its life, and, today, figured out how to wiggle the zippers apart to jailbreak herself from the crate. My husband came downstairs to find the dog's crate wide open and her sitting like a queen in our kitchen. We had previously used the guardian gear soft collapsible crate and never had any problems aside from the set up being a pain in the butt. I'll take an annoying set up and a crate with lasting power of this thing any day.
