I travel quite a bit for medical reasons and got tired of lugging my dogs steel kennel along with us, I ordered the travel kennel to try, when it arrived I was completely happy with how easy the item is to set up, my dog took an instant liking to the product and has no issues sleeping in it at all, it comes with 2 pouches that hang easily on the top and side of the kennel for treats, leashes and other grooming items the kennel has a nice carrying bag which makes it easier to store when traveling, my dog and I highly recommend this for anyone who travels a lot with a dog of any size
Nice idea but it didn't last

I loved the idea of a soft sided crate to use in the truck for our 6 month old mini Aussie. It fit well between two car seats and kept little hands off the puppy (and the puppy's mouth off those mischievous little hands). It could also collapse and move inside for use at the office etc. Well she tore through the mesh after being in it for a couple hours and wreaked havoc on anything within reach. So it would be a great travel crate in a vehicle but is not durable enough for a determined escapee.
Excellent travel kennel

We bought this to use at dog event for our 18 month German Shepherd. It was extremely light and set up took literally 1 minute. The mesh allows a lot of air flow and visibility for the pup. The material seems really high quality and I expect it to last a long time.
One of the best purchases I've ever made!
Comfortable car transport
on Oct 19, 2018
Bought this crate to use in my car when driving with my Lucca, a 35lb Lagotto Romagnolo. The crate sits on the back seat and Lucca sits in it or lays down in it as he desires. It does not interfere with driving visibility. I can see him through the mesh window from the front seat and reach him to pet him and/or give him a treat if needed. I only wish I could somehow secure the crate with the seat belt. Rating would be a 5 if I could. I may yet figure out a way to do that. And, I can still carry a passenger in the back seat with the crate in place. If not traveling with my dog, the crate folds out very easily to accommodate other passengers. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
Very happy with crate

Was going to order another crate from Chewy but color I wanted was out of stock. SOOOO GLAD as this is nicer, has more features, the color is a BEAUTIFUL rich cranberry red, and this wasn't that much higher priced. Super fast shipping got it to us in time for the holiday travel. And the dog loves it too!
Handle Ripped on Very First Use
on Oct 7, 2018
Bought several new carriers back in May, and needed to use one for the first time today to take a sick cat to the Vet. Grabbed this one because it was the easiest to reach. The carrying strap made it 30 feet into the veterinary office, but ripped-out when picking up the carrier to leave. Luckily, the strap gave way in the office and the drop was in the first foot after being picked up -- rather than dropping much farther in the parking lot. Will take it to a luggage repair place to see it they can re-stitch the end -- but, what a hassle. Also, the other carriers are variations of the same brand. Should I have their handles re-stitched preemptively, or wait for them to give way with a sickBought several new carriers back in May, and needed to use one for the first time today to take a sick cat to the Vet. "Daisy," who fell today, is the smallest of our four cats, so not good sign as to the durability of these carriers.… more
Easy to assemble
on Dec 3, 2018
It's a nice crate that's easy to assemble. I put it together and set it in the living room so our dog would get used to it before we needed it for travel. Tossed in a few toys and a treat and we're good to go. But now the cat has taken up residence inside during the day, so it's a furry family crate!

I use this crate weekly during our scent work classes. Very durable and light weight. If your dog paws and scratches while in a crate, I would recommend a metal crate. My dog is only in for short increments of time and usually just sleeps. It offers spacious compartments on top and on the side!
Not very durable

This crate is not good for dogs with bad separation anxiety! I give my dog CBD treats to calm him and he still was able to tear it open at the door seam within the first few hours. He also was able to move it across the room and flip it upside down while he was in it. We were hoping a soft crate would calm him more, but no. It's a shame, I bet it would be a great crate for a less active pup.
Great crate for travel
on Oct 19, 2018
We bought this for travel for our black mouth cur dog who weighs just under 50 lbs. We liked the construction and the mat that came with it. It fit her great, and she was choosing to go into this one versus her larger crate at home. It was just a touch too tall for our station wagon, so we’re exchanging it for a less tall crate. Chewy has asked us to donate this one, which we will happily do to rescue orgs that we support.
