I made the mistake of basing my purchase on the image and not on reviewing the dimensions. The cat tree is too small for an adult cat. It probably would be great for a kitten. The steps do not provide a lot of usable surface area on treads due to the spiral configuration and the basket at the top is too small as well. The unit itself is well constructed but the size makes it impossible to recommend. I really wanted to like this cat tree but even my cat, which is normally excited by new things like this, turned her nose up at it.
Best easily accessible tree that I have seen so far for Senior cats, but still on the tiny side considering the steep price. My cats barely fit into the tiny basket 13 inches at the top. The steps are nice w/a good height, but on the smaller side since they are partially overlapping. The top removable cushion is also a bit thin. Nice dark grey color and easy setup. Just which it was roomier and more bang for the buck.
I bought this to replace an old tower that was falling apart. This was easy to assemble, is very sturdy and looks well made. It holds my 14 and 19lb cats without wobbling.
Santa brought this as a replacement for our kitties' old and very worn cat tree. It is slightly shorter than the old one, which was marginally disappointing. But it is also much less wobbly. And the cats appreciate the additional horizontal scratching areas on the steps. They both took right to the tree. For the price, it's a definite keeper.
Anna "took" to her new cat tree immediately! Not at all difficult to put together, either. Would have given "5 stars" if the top perch was a bit larger so that Anna wouldn't have to curl up when sleeping in it...even 3 inches bigger would help. And, the taller of the posts needs to have the sisal all the way to the top, rather than the fur on the top third of it, so there's more room to stretch and scratch. That being said, Anna and I are happy with this purchase.
I bought this because of the steps for my elderly cat Ginger. It's very sturdy and she uses it daily. Thank you!♥️
While, much smaller than the old one, the crew is constantly one it and it seems to have a magic sleep button on it...LOL
Purchased with partially disabled cat in mind to help her get to the window seating easier. Stair step design should work well. She hasn't tried it but several others have. So far, they like it. Top bed is snug for my chonky 13 lb orange girl, but she doesn't seem to care. Very easy to assemble for one person! All hardware included, including allen wrench. Took less than 20 minutes to put together using the clear diagram. If you can put together IKEA furniture, you can do this, too. I assembled everything but the bed in an open area and then screwed the bed in once I had it placed. It was easier to move around that way. Seems sturdy. Dark gray fur covering looks good. Screws countersink down, so no metal bits popped up to hurt paws or claws. Wide base is stable. Tuxedo girl (11 lb) has already learned to partially block the way up by laying on the bottom step. It hasn't even been an hour... This tree should be a good addition to the front window bird watching area. Definitely worth the sale price.
Had spent hours looking for something that would help Mittens get on the kitchen counter easier as she is getting older and is having trouble jumping. She will only drink water on the kitchen counter from a plastic cup. Came across this and couldn't believe it! It was 1 inch higher than the counter! It was perfect! Not only does she use it to get to her water but she loves sleeping in the top perch. It was the perfect solution. Thank you Chewy!
Needed a tree that would hold my big chonker. It is sturdy! They did want to stay in the old one and ignored it, SO I had to throw out the old one, then they used this. CATS!! Its tall enough so kitty TV viewing out the window can happen. Curling up on the top shelf is a little tight for the big boned chonker, but regular cats will have plenty of space
