The Epi-Pet Sun Protector Skin Treatment Spray is waterproof.
It says hazardous to humans. In what way is it hazardous and how are we supposed to rub it on our pets if we are not supposed to touch it?
Answer by • Jun 09, 2018
The "HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND ANIMALS" heading is a standard safety notice after which potential hazards are listed. It is recommended to thoroughly wash hands after applying to pets. This product is not to be ingested or have rubbed around the eyes.
Are any of the ingredients known carcinogens?
Answer by • Jun 23, 2019
Sunscreen products are considered to be drugs by the FDA requiring compliance with proof of safety, efficacy, reproducibility and validation. Because there are testing models in the structure missing to verify pet sunscreens differently from human sunscreens, the FDA reviewed the Epi-Pet extensive studies and ruled that Epi-Pet sunscreen met all the qualifying criteria and ruled in favor to safely and effectively use on pets, with the exclusion of cats. It has had no reported adverse reactions in its ten+ years of existence, having been used on tens of thousand of pets.
