Smells amazing
I got this as it was recommended by the breeder of my Maine coon. I use it on him and my minuet (Persian munchkin). It leaves them so soft and they smell amazing.
Disappointed
The picture of the back of the bottle showing the ingredients on the site doesn’t read on my phone (it’s just a bunch of blur even zoomed in), so I based my purchase on the ingredients list posted by chewy in the description. This is the product I THOUGHT I was purchasing: Purified Water, Conditioners, Detangler, Aloe Vera Juice, Emulsifier, Dead Sea Mud, Emollient, Fragrance, Chamomile Extract, Sage Extract, Thyme Extract, Yarrow Extract, Mint Balm Extract, Marsh Mallow Extract, Kava Kava Extract, Preservative. The ACTUAL ingredients: Purified water, coconut and plant derived cleansers, humectant, preservative, salt, silk amino acids, safflower derived phospholipid, fragrance, EDTA, vit E, pro-vitamin 5, jojoba oil, fd&c blue no. 1, vitamin a. I don’t really know why it needs dyes in cat shampoo. My 18.5 year old cat is really stinky because he has arthritis and no teeth, thus can’t groom himself very well (though he tries!). I just wanted to give him a really nice bath to freshen him up, and what I thought I was getting would be some ingredients that would be really soothing to his super senior little body, and safe to use. There is a big difference between the two lists, and what is in the bottle smells processed and chemically. I wouldn’t feel comfortable using this on my super senior cat (18.5 human years means he’s about 90 in cat years).
Great for long-haired cats!
I started bathing my Ragdoll every six months or so when he turned 14 and stopped grooming himself as often as he once did. The baths have moved up to every month now that he's 20 years old and sleeps all the time and NEVER tries to groom himself. I've gotta say that this stuff is AMAZING. His fur is so soft and shiny after each bath, and he gets far fewer mats in his fur now! He looks like a brand new man every time! A must have for long-haired cat moms/dads.
