The ONLY reason I cut this by one star is because the solid portion of the scoop there, near the skinny little handle also catches litter. I do not like having to shake the scoop to sift that little bit of litter off OR choose to waste that litter every time I scoop. Yes, I realize this is me being persnickety. … more

Horrible - cheap - nothing like the quality from the first one I've had for over 30 years and still have - just wanted two - don't buy it even for $5.00! Returned it for credit.

Not great for scooping litter
By scooper on Jan 8, 2021
Waste of money for scooping litter. Maybe you could use it for cooking.

Metal Kitty Litter Scoop
By Gigi on Sep 24, 2020
I like that it is lightweight. However, the bowl needs to be more of a bowl. It is too flat. The debris falls off the sides when it is shaken to let the unused litter go back into the pan.

Excellent for clumps
By Catlady2 on Aug 28, 2020
Though excellent for clumps, do not use for urine caked on sides of box. It will bend out of shape.

Works for us!
By Bridget on Jul 27, 2020
5 cats with 7 jumbo boxes, scooping multiple times a day. We use various types of litter from lightweight to clay to clumping. Works well in all, no bending of the metal, never had the sifter part fall off. Have been using this type of scoop for several years. I routinely replace it twice a year

sturdy enough if you have kittens
By DebS on Jul 2, 2020
This scoop is pathetically not sturdy. Maybe if you only have tiny kittens it could hold up to scooping a box, but if you have normal sized cats, or god forbid cats with kidney issues this scoop will not hold up. When I first got it I really liked it. nice and long, bit wobbly on the sides but did a decent job cleaning. But it only lasted about 1 maybe 2 weeks before breaking after I scooped the box after my cat that was having kidney issues. Not worth it unless you have cats that only pee tiny amounts.

Better than plastic
By Rebecky on Jun 24, 2020
I have always preferred this metal scooper to the plastic varieties. Stays cleaner, glides through the litter easily.

“Purr-fect” Scoop
By KailaS on Jun 11, 2020
Several years ago I had this scoop. Over time, however, it bent at the area between the handle and scoop and, while still useful, was a bit less effective. I tried big, clunky plastic scoops, but they never could get the wet litter from the bottom of the litter pan. I was elated when I found this scoop on Chewy.I still have the bent scoop and use it. But thIs scoop makes me happy. Not much sticks to it, it is easy to clean, and it makes separating actual litter from “litter pan debris“ fairly easy.

Great product
By dinkaone on May 16, 2020
I have larger scoops but this one works great in smaller plastic bags. easy to clean off and easy to use.
