This is an awesome kitty toy!! Both 8 month old kittens love it. Advice: Don't stand too close after hanging (if your kitty is nearby). It definitely wears them out. When we first received it one of the rubber pieces that "clips" to the doorframe was off and laying in the box. We had to superglue it back on. Because of that it's not a toy that I will let them use unsupervised. It is certainly a toy that gives them exercise and makes us laugh our heads off!! I read one review that said that the string was not long enough but I noticed in their submitted picture that they have it hanging incorrectly which makes the string short. It's supposed to hang around (or on) each side of the top of the doorframe not on the door. It is the perfect height. I'm glad I bought it! … more

My 2 cats had no interest in this toy when hung on a door frame. It was too high up with a white mouse. I then added additional string so they would be more interested in batting it around. The mouse was hung upside down on the string and white and it did not attract them. I left it on a coffee table one night and found the toy on the floor the next morning...their only interest was to chew the thin stretchy string in multiple places. If they had batted it around while it was hanging, I think a thicker string would be better to make it last longer. … more

This is one of my cat's favorite toys. However, the first one broke a few days in, the rope snapped. The second one, within the first 5 minutes, the tail of the mouse broke off and was laying on the floor (I received the second one yesterday) - I can't rebuy this thing every week. So I'll have to stop and get her something else.

I have a normal 7' high door frame and the toy is too high for my 4 months old kitten to reach. Def for older cats. Should be stated on there for the toy. There's no extension to it. And the safety release comes off too easily.

This price of this item is economical, but it came damaged. The string that the toy hangs from was tethered + elastic partially snapped. Unfortunately, this wasn't noticable until the toy way removed from the packaging.

Cats bat at it once then left it alone. Good idea just not for my cats.

Loved the idea of this toy, but unfortunately my cats have not touched this once. They prefer the toys I hang on door knobs with strings, although I'm not sure why.

I initially loved this thing. Stayed on the door frame which I was quite surprised. The bad....toy didn't last an hour before it snapped in the middle. I don't think it's my cat. She's not aggressive. Just didn't last long. Otherwise super toy.

Nice idea but change in design is necessary. It doesn't hang on door well. My cat spent about 20 seconds with it and pulled it off the door. The rat is cute but would never buy again.

It was a fine toy for all of a few hours before my cat destroyed it. If your cat is the kind of animal who is going to enjoy something like this, then most likely they are also the kind of animal who is going to destroy it in short order. Look for something sturdier, that's what I'm doing.

My 2 cats were interested in this for about 5 minutes! I do not recommend it.

This toy seems very flimsy. My one cat kept pulling it down off of the door frame. Also, the mouse did not have a rattle in it. I ended up cutting it off the string, and throwing the mouse on the floor for the cats to play with, they seem to like that a lot better
