  • Great Product for the Price

Was ill prepared a couple weeks ago when we got hit with our first bout of winter misery. My poor Boston could barely make it out long enough to take care of business. So I started the search of finding a set of boots that would fit my dogs feet and keep her comfortable. After buying $30-40 pairs of boots and having to return them, I decided to try these and I'm surprisingly pleased with their quality. We tried them out today and they were great. Her feet stayed dry and toasty and we were able to stay out for much longer than the last time we had bad weather. We'll see how the stand up to the minimal wear and tear we put on them, but for spending less than $10 I won't be too upset if they only Was ill prepared a couple weeks ago when we got hit with our first bout of winter misery. • Fit well but aren't completely waterproof

I'm on the east coast and the weather has been abysmal this winter. Lots of snow, ice, and salt on the ground. I've been using the little rubber balloon type shoes for a couple years but my dog cowers everytime I grab them before a walk. They're also terrible for the environment. I ordered these because they can be put on and taken off easily and without pulling hair. They fit and stay on fine as long as you wrap the velcro tightly. They are not completely waterproof though as some people have mentioned. If your dog is not the "off roading" type, these should be fine to protect from salt and ice. They will let in snow and water though. My dog is small enough that I just pick her up when we hit I'm on the east coast and the weather has been abysmal this winter. • Not for Snow, but dry roads

    By on

I purchased these boots for my rescued small poodle mix. The salt and winter required a boot and I had to learn to put them on! The first couple of times he lost one or two boots, but that was my fault. When I found out where his "ankle" was and fastened them tightly, no problem. He was sooo good! The problem came when they didn't dry after being out. They are leather bottoms and become saturated when snow get soft and mushy. They don't dry before he has to go out again. Going to try to get another boot on that I originally thought was too small. Let you know how that goes. These are good for hot roads in the summer and rough terrain and maybe polished floors.

  • save your money

The only reason I gave them 1 star is that it was good for a laugh. They fit my GR and he was very good about wearing them but after the 1st 20 min walk on packed snow they had holes in 2 of 4 booties. The 2nd walk put holes in the remaining pair. The velcro does not go all the way around the strap. They have a tendency to spin on paws. The bottom pad is a thin leather like material and very flimsy. I did not expect them to last forever for the price but should have lasted more than 2 short walks on smooth relatively soft surface. Save your money for the Kurgo ....these were a joke.......would not ever buy again....junk these are already garbage material..... • Good enough for walks

    By on

Our town excessively salts the roads and we regularly see temperatures below 0 in January, so a set of boots is required for our dog. I just bought these for Christmas and they work well enough for walks and to go out potty. They're flexible enough to allow him to move his toes and the Velcro straps and elastic ankle keep them on his feet - until he takes off running. These aren't great for active dogs, but great for a stroll around the block. Laredo has a tendency to drag his back toes so the edge is already a little worn, but perfect for the price and will last us at least 1-2 seasons.

  • Almost As Described

We have a large English Mastiff in NYC. These boots fit great, and stayed on, protected against the salt, until they didn’t. Normal walking on city sidewalks cause the boots to wear quickly on the front. And the straps lasted two days before they ripped off. But, she walked, ran, and played in the Dog Run with other dogs until the straps tore. Maybe they're better for smaller dogs, but for really large dogs that play hard, these came up a bit short.

  • Saved paws from freezing

Purchased these for my 12 year old chocolate lab when the temps went down into the single digits, and I noticed him limping upon coming back in the house after just five minutes outside. They arrived quickly and I tried them on right away. It took him a few minutes to get accustomed to them but after the first time he went out in them he came in a very happy dog. Now he readily wants them put on before he goes out. They are easy to put on and have a nice non slip bottom, which seems towork well even on ice. I would highly reccomend these to anyone.

  • Shih Tzu savior!

    By on

Bought 2 pairs of these, my Pug/Boston Terrier mix wanted nothing to do with her pair & after her removing them within 2 seconds several times we gave up. Our Shih Tzu, on the other hand, LOVES his boots! It's a very, cold snowy winter so far in NH and he had a really hard time going out in it before these boots but now he marches around no problem & gets his business done. Have to make sure that paws are all the way in to the top & the velcro is on tight or they can slip off but once we got the hang of it, they've stayed put! I will say my 10lb shih tzu is wearing the pair I bought for the 20lb dog since they do seem to run small & the XXS I can get on much easier-XXXS are tiny (I bought XXXS Bought 2 pairs of these, my Pug/Boston Terrier mix wanted nothing to do with her pair & after her removing them within 2 seconds several times we gave up. • Depends on your pups needs

I was delighted that my dog had no trouble walking in these boots. I expected full rejection. They look soooo cute. I think they protected his paws against the cold pavement and even some glass on the ground. Once we had a melty day however, it was clear the water and salt mixture seeped in and he started holding up his paw mid-walk. I didnt expect them to be fully waterproof, but his paw was very wet and salty upon removal. I was thinking maybe Ill put Pawz on underneath, but thats just too much work when I have to get him walked and go to work. Good for dry days only. It should be indicated cleary at purchase.

  • works great in frigid temperatures

    By on

We bought these boots for our Airedale terrier because the frigid temperatures recently were making it difficult for her to walk outside. She's worn them every day this week and they've worked great. They are showing some signs of wear but that's ok. Probably will just order another pair to have on hand if needed. They must be comfortable because she did not mind wearing them.
