Questions & Answers

3 Customer Questions

Will this work on carpeted floors?
Answer by ChewyDec 10, 2019
This rolling dispenser works by shooting out kibble with every push. While this toy may still work on thin, short carpets, thicker carpets may impede the rolling.

How do you clean this? Can I put it under running water?
Answer by ChewyMar 08, 2021
When cleaning, use warm soapy water on a soft cloth and thoroughly rinse and dry.

My Yorkies dry food is about the size of green peas & their portions are quite small. I'd love to get one for each of them, but I'm wondering if their food might be too small to work properly. Seems this might be more appropriate for somewhat bigger bits, no? Thank you! :)

Broke after 5 uses

Worked fairly well (but all three dogs figured out they could just stick their tongues in the opening) but the spring piece broke after just 5 uses with nothing happening to it that should have damaged it

Not for tough chewers/big dogs

Can’t tell you how much I loved the idea of this treat dispenser toy! For a small to medium dog, I think it would be great! My dog however is tough on his toys and he chewed the wheels off within a couple of days. And, while he did push it around as intended, he stuck his tongue in the hole to eat all the treats. This didn’t quite work out as expected.

Broke after daily use

The pop at first scared my dog but after he got the hang of it, he absolutely loves it. I put a little dry kibble in for a afternoon treat. After using for a week or so the it broke. I took it apart and put it back together but it keeps breaking after a few pops. He loves it but leary of getting another for fear of the same thing happening. I've read other reviews where this same thing has happened. Great concept, poor quality

Mixed review

I bought this for my puppy for Christmas and he loved playing with it. Today is 1/8 and the toy broke. The part that pops up, popped out along with a spring. There was something rattling around inside of it. I’m not sure what broke but feel it should have lasted a bit longer. That being said, my puppy LOVED playing with this! I recommend this because of how much my puppy loved it. Gave 3 stars because it he wasn’t being overly aggressive when it broke after only a couple weeks of intermittent use.

Not a well thought out design

Your dog can just lick the food out of the hole in the top if larger. If you tell them no, they thing they are not supposed to go near it, so they stop trying to interact. It fails at the most basic aspect of what it is for, to keep the dog engaged and occupied with stimulation.

my dogs fav toy

This was both of my dogs favvvvorite toy…. For about 3 hours.. it broke, I ordered another one, also broke quickly. So sad bc they like it so much. The little spring inside pops out and you can’t put it back.

Treat dispenser does not work very well

The food gets trapped and doesn't pop out. Gypsy is used to interactive toys and does well with them. This one the food gets stuck and does not pop out.

I bought this for my cats lol

So I have two rather smart, energetic cats (and one old lady cat). A lot of the reviews said this was effective for small dogs, so I thought maybe my cats could figure it out, too. My youngest cat is a very smart troublemaker but not very food motivated. He really liked this toy when it was filled with his favorite treats and figured it out pretty quickly. My second youngest cat is VERY food motivated and also figured it out. The top is secure enough they couldn't pull it apart (and they did try). Even though they could fit their paws into it, it was too difficult for them to grab the kibble and pull it out, forcing them to figure out the popping mechanism. It worked GREAT for my cats. My only complaint is that it sometimes sounds like something breaking when it pops.

Takes Some Time to Learn

Got this for my lab-mastiff mix. He was initially very confused by the toy but after some coaching we are now using it almost daily for mental stimulation and slow feeding.
