Does the top of this bed stay up or does it lay flat when the dog isn't in there?

The cuddle cave will not stay completely up when your pup is not using it. However it will hold its triangle shape.

Kitty will not use

I've had this almost 2 months now and the kitty will not use it. I have tried working with it to open it up more but nothing makes a difference. I had suspicions that it may have been a returned item when I first opened it, maybe it was and has the scent of another kitty on it.

Well-liked

My dog is a snuggler and he went right into this bed with no coaxing. I do wish it came in a bigger size and that's the only reason for not giving it 5-stars. It's well made, stands up nicely on its own and best of all the dog loves it.

Swaddled Doggo

In about 5-10 mins, 2 treats, and finally 1 sock later, Peanut was 1000% on board with the Ethical Pet Sleep Zone Cuddle Cave. He lives here now. Peanut is a 2.5 year old Chihuahua, miniature pincher mix weighing 11lbs. Even with his deer legs he is able to fit inside and turn around snugly but comfortably. Peanut sends his greetings, love, and gratitude, with 10,000 puppy kisses.

Nice bed for cat

I really like how the top of the bed stands up and doesn't collapse on my cat. The one thing I was disappointed about was the stuffing in the bottom. It moves around and does not fill up the entire bottom of the bed, and the stuffing all moves to one side. My cat is then basically sleeping on the hard floor. It is important for their joints to have cushion to sleep on, so I am now buying an extra pad to go underneath. Not what I was wanting to do.

Doggie bed
