    Pet likes but poor value

By smrgoose on Nov 16, 2020

The product is decent and my dog loves to lay and snuggle on it. But essentially, this is a shag/loop bath rug. This item can be purchased for half the price at any store that sells bathroom towels and accessories. I was expecting the texture to be a little more dense to encourage foraging, especially since the product is marketed for pets. I wanted the item to slow a fast eater and stimulate sniffing which is a healthy activity for dogs. Instead I will have to get a slow feeder bowl. It does not function as a “slow feed foraging dog mat.” I suppose I will keep the item as a blanket for my dog. In terms of value, there are similar products that are less inexpensive and I do not find this to be The product is decent and my dog loves to lay and snuggle on it. Slows the feeding down

By DebM on Dec 17, 2020

Effective rug slows down feeding time and the puppy seems to enjoy the distraction. If he is really playful/ impatient/ hungry though, he will pick rug up and shake it, to get to the food faster.

Puppy prefers this to a bowl

By Styx on Nov 2, 2020

Our puppy prefers any foraging or puzzle feeders to a regular bowl and loves this mat. She sometimes falls asleep on it and starts rooting around for kibble when she wakes up. Had it for a few months now and has held up nicely to several washes and dries.

    Not right for our dog

By Tali on Sep 21, 2020

Once I got this product in person, the threads were much shorter and wider apart then i was expecting and it didn't really hide food at all. The food/treats kind of just sat on the mat and our dog (part poodle so she tends to be very smart) ate the treats very quickly. I am going to return this one and instead buy a different mat that has longer threads that are made of different materials.

Should have bought this a long time ago

By Mary on Jun 27, 2020

I’ve used a Kong Wobbler for my Aussie mix since I got her over 10 years ago and I’ve always put the wobbler on a dog bed to lessen the noise. Bc of this method, I’ve had to wash dog beds pretty frequently and after moving to apartment without a W/D and this COVID-19 situation, I found this little gem. It’s super easy to wash and still keeps the noise level down. Even better is that my dog more entertained by having to tip over the wobbler AND have to find her kibble in the “forest”. Her feeding frenzy is prolonged so my other dog can eat in peace. I hope it’ll last a long time, but for now it seems to hold up well. I wish I would have thought of this product sooner!

    My dog is strange

By milomom on Aug 28, 2020

My 13 lb. shai poo is not much for foraging. He will eat some kibble from the mat and then get some on the floor to eat. He will not eat any from a bowl in the morning. He is so strange about food.

    Outsmarted by a puppy

By GSDPuppy on Sep 25, 2020

My dog just picked up the mat and shook it to get all the food out.... but its very soft and he likes to cuddle with it, so not a total loss

    Good option

By Julinoe on May 25, 2020

My miniature Schnauzer puppy picks kibble out of his all day, the cats do too. However, my puppy is really smart and has learned that if he picks up a corner of the mat, all the food falls down to one side and it's easier to get them. He doesn't do it all the time though, which is confusing. Maybe some days he's just lazier?

    Slow feeder rug

By BooBarefoot on May 18, 2020

Awesome product. Works better than the 3 different slow feeder bowls I’ve tried.

    Follow Your Nose

    By BullyDad69 on Jan 21, 2020

Dinner was boring for Ralphie before this mat came into his life. Now he gets to exercise his nose and channel some of his energy into his nightly food hunt. He also likes his kibble more than he used to now that it’s turned into a game. A very wise toucan once said “Follow Your Nose.” This mat has allowed my boy to do exactly that and for that, we thank you.
