Description

The Ethical Pet Slow Feeder Dog Bowl has a unique spiral shape that promotes slow eating, reducing many of the risks that come with gulping down food too quickly such as choking, regurgitation, bloating and even obesity. As your pup nudges his food through the spiral, he’s actually utilizing his natural foraging instincts so it’s easy for him to adapt to the bowl. The non-skid rubber ring on the bottom keeps this bowl in place while your dog finishes his meal in a timely manner.

    Great Feeder

    By on

This item is great for dry food to,slow your fast eater down. Keep in mind if you want something similar to this and you add water to food this wouldn’t be the one for you because it does have opening at end. Great price and love this bowl for my speedy eater. I actually had to buy another one because my Sheltie even though a slow eater had to have one of these too one pup can’t have something without the other.

    Works great!

    By on

I have a one year old pit mix who used to inhale when he was fed to the point where he would chock while he was eating every time. We tried tennis balls in his dish and all kinds of slow eating tactics and this maze bowl is the first thing that works. The rubber bottom helps the bowl to stay put while our boy nudges at the maze for food. The maze is deep so it takes extra time and maneuvering for the dog to get the food out. Perfectly slows them down. It’s also a strong durable plastic that my puppy has not chewed through which I did not expect since it’s only $7! Love this product!

    Bowl isn’t closed!!

    By on

The food literally falls out because a simple piece of plastic wasn’t installed to finish the bowl, I have many dogs that get gas and need slow feeders but this bowl is of no use to me and I put a lot of extras on their food and the crunchies just fall out!!

    Great Product!

My German Shepherd pup always eats too fast ans this slow feeder bowl is a great addition to her gear. The spiral makes her eat around the bowl and now it will take her 10 minutes instead of 30 seconds. I bought two different slow feeders and i much prefer this design. So far the plastic has held up, but i wish it was metal. Overall its worth the purchase.

    Piggy Puppo

    By on

My puppo is a super fast eater, and very food driven. I needed to slow her down so she can realize when she's had enough. I think this has worked well for her. At first I was concerned that it was too deep for her snout but it works ok. If your doggo has a shorter snout it may not work well. Maddie is a bulldog/lab mix with a slightly shorter snout. It takes her about 3x as long to eat her food with this bowl. It's worked great.

    such a good bowl!!!!

    By on

My pit used to eat her dry food in less then 2 minutes and always made this weird dry heaving noise when eating. I just got this bowl and used it for the first time, it took her almost 6 minutes to eat her dry food!!!! And she didn’t even make the dry heaving noise!! The only con is that it is open ended so it does get kinda messy but that’s fine as long as your using dry food. At night I feed her wet food so I am just going to use her regular bowl for the wet food. Thanks chewy!!!!

ethical pet feeder is too deep

    By on

Compared to another ethical pet feeder I have for my other dog this one is very deep and I don't really like the fact that it opens up to let the food fall out onto the floor.

    Slow feeder bowls

These are great for the larger dog, but too big for my Doxies. I ordered a smaller one for them. They really help them fro gobbling

    I love it!

    By on

It has really helped. I have two dogs and one of them would eat his food and then the rest of the others. This has really slowed down his eating and he does not eat near as much as he used too

    Tried once

    By on

Tried once with my puppies one turned it over to get to food. He does that with water too. Other puppy tried to get food out. We'll get it another shot since the puppies still gobble their food.
