Owner of 2

I absolutely love this toy! I’m buying my third one now. Not because they have broken but because my cat absolutely loves this thing and has worn it out (twice already - over 7 years). He knows exactly what to do to get it started up again when the laser stops! I can ask him, “Where’s your bird?” and he goes bonkers trying to find it! One of the best purchases I’ve ever made! Buying ones for my grand-cats now!

Cat not interested

Nice idea in theory but my cat isn't into it. The way the laser moves around is not easy enough for her to follow. She loves laser toys, but just not this one. Maybe your cat will like it.

Cute but wish light stayed on!!!

I got this for our cat who loves laser pointers. She didn't quite understand how it worked and I would have to tap it for her for her to see the light. I wish it would stay on because then she would continue to play with it when I wasn't there.I have had better success getting a laser pointer that has an on and off switch.

Exactly as expected!

This toy was exactly what I was hoping for! We took in a feral kitty in December and she's still very skittish and always hides during the day. I'm concerned that she's no longer getting enough exercise due to being indoors,so was searching for a toy that would put her in motion and that she can play by herself. This is it!! She plays with it every night!

bad laser toy

I like the look of this toy. But it includes the typical laser warning about not letting the laser shine into an eye. Yet it is designed so that the height of the laser varies widely as the bird bobbles around, meaning that having the laser shine into a cat's eye is unavoidable. I am confused by a function that increases the likelihood of the laser shining into an eye juxtaposed with a warning not to let that happen. I will never turn this on (may remove the batteries) and I'll hope a cat just enjoys batting it around on the floor. (There is a different laser toy that appears designed to keep the laser shing very low (lower than an eye is likely to be), which would seem safer. It is loud, though.)

Received multiple broken toys!

I've been buying these toys for at least 7 years, I have pics of my cat hugging a blue bird and the other cats chasing the light as it moved. I ordered these, same brand, same toy. It was time to replace the old ones because the batteries aren't the easiest to replace and I lost one of the little screws so used duct tape which was fine for a while. But of the 2 I just ordered, the blue works great, the pink one-the whole head completely lights up red and no laser light shoots out. Chewy was great and immediately sent out replacements, but the same thing is happening to the green one that I opened although not as badly. It's head lights up a little but it does shoot out a laser light. I'm afraid to open the other green one that was sent as replacement. What is most disappointing to me besides the percentage of defective toys I bought/received, is the base of my older birds seems heavier so the toys could rock but not fall over as easily. For those of you old enough - think weebles! Weebles wobble but don't fall down. The same brand, same toy that I bought years ago seem to be more stable, maybe the base changed a little? The new ones (well, the one that actually works properly) seem to fall over to the side much easier and I find myself picking them up instead of the cats being able to bat them around to activate the laser. At least I can hold it and use it as a handheld laser for the cats to chase but that defeats the purpose that I bought these for. My black cat especially loved these toys and so far, he's not as interested in the new ones because once they fall over the fun is pretty much done. Has something changed? Is anyone else having similar issues? My cats and I really loved these toys but I'm really disappointed in these last batches that I received, especially due to the number of defective toys. I tend to be a fixer so I'll try a few things to get the one toy that works properly to not fall over, but I think the quality needs to be addressed because 7 years ago these were great! I gave 3 stars for the one that does work and since even if it falls over, I can use as a handheld laser. And I'm hopeful my cats will learn to play with these. I actually still have a few of my old birds, maybe I'll take off the bottoms and see if something has changed. Of course, this is all my experience and my opinions, and I hope you all have better experiences with these because when they work, they're a great little toy that my cats enjoyed for years!

Kittens love lasers

What cat doesn't like chasing after a light? This is not interactive as described though. You have to hold it and move the light then it's great.

Cut little bird

Wish it was a little bit more squat so when it wobbles it doesn’t stay on it’s side. Other than that if you give it a good spin it’s pretty cool

Perfect toy for us!

My very active kitty quickly learned how to direct the laser himself. This toy is great!

Donot. Bother

Laser light only moves a few inches in front of toy and shuts off way too fast. Does not wobble enough.
