Does the on/off switch work as a switch or do you need to hold the button the whole time?

The button on this toy only lights the laser when being held down, and once your finger leaves the button, the toy will power off.
How do the batteries go in

Unscrew thr end cap of laser pointer. Place 3 LR44 button batteries inside with the negative pole facing in.

Excellent pointer for the price!

Batteries are replaceable, which I appreciate and don't always expect with stuff in this low of a price range. The button does take a bit of force to stay on if you're having a longer play session. Our particular cat keeps stealing the whole thing because he likes how the chain sounds, so we'll probably take that part off.

Keeps Kitty Happy

This is the second one I have gotten for our kitty. We spend hours of chasing the laser light. Sassy actually can hear when we pick it up and will wait for the chase to begin.

Cat Loves, But Poorly Made

My cat absolutely goes crazy for this toy. If he even hears the jingle of the keychain he loses his mind. So it that regards it’s great. However within two days the cap refuses to screw in. The cap will not stay put and pops off. And once the cap is off the batteries fall right out.

Does not work

This laser was bad from right out of the box. We put the batteries in it that it came with and nothing...bought new batteries just in case they had been dead, but no. Just a piece of junk. Poorly made. Don't waste your money.

Best toy for pets

Our cats love this toy and so do we cause we get to sleep all night trough cause they are wore out from playing!!

Terrible toy

Light is not constant at the same brightness. Fades in and out. You get what you pay for. The previous one I had was more expensive but was consistent and great.
