Not the same
I have 2 other very heavy ceramic crocks of the same color. I assumed this would be of the same heavy, thick walled quality and it was not. Easy to tip and not heavy at all. I have a dog with cerebellar hypoplasia and needed new crock bowls that she can't tip as she is very wobbly. Can't find the super heavy old style anywhere. Works as a normal dog bowl but not for what I needed it for. This is more like a pretty ceramic bowl. Not a heavy duty one.
Nice feeding bowl
I have vizslas which are solid medium-sized dogs, and this bowl (2) holds their food for breakfast & dinner. I have matching larger size water bowls as well. I like they are ceramic since I’m not a fan of leaching plastic options. Now if we could quit dropping them; they do break!
Nice and well made
I have had these for 18+ months. I got the 6cup size and use them with labs and goldens (aged 8 weeks -2.5 years). The bowls feel good, clean well, and are robust (one of mine broke when it fell off the counter, but that was my fault). I love that I can put them in the dishwasher if I want/need to.
Great Water/Bath Dish
I bought this because my Senegal parrot loves to bathe in his water dish. His old water dish was similar in style, just half the size. He doesn’t get into it, (I was hoping he would, my Nanday Conures would have loved it!) he sits on the side and dips his wings into it. This dish gives him lots of room to dip his wings. The dish itself is well made and heavy enough to stay where you put it. Though, a medium sized dog could move it around. It cleans up nicely and is attractive.
My Ethical Stoneware Crock Pet Dish
My timid eight-year old mixed cocker spaniel, Lucy, a rescue, is afraid to eat out of a dish because her tags knocked against it. Having decided to accept her little quirk, I cut an indigo blue place mat in half and at mealtimes I spread her kibble on it. The blue bottom of the crock dog bowl matches the place mat perfectly, just as I'd hoped, and Lucy is happily eating the kibble from the place mat and drinking from the bowl.
This is the perfect water bowl. It's heavy enough they don't knock it over and keeps water chill. I ordered the biggest one they had.
Not 6 cups
Perfectly good quality, just not as big as advertised. The 6 cups bowl measures out to a little over 4 cups.
Shape and weight makes it impossible for my big cats to move it around or tip it. Used this particular water bowl for years, love the beautiful blue color.
It’s perfect for my large 70 pound dog. And it looks nice. I love the blue. I do wish it were a tad bit bigger but for the price, you just can’t beat it.
Love this Pet Dish!
This pet dish is nice and heavy, durable and cheaper than what you can find at the pet store. Definitely recommend.
