Go this to replace a plastic water bowl for my 2 cats. (I use a very big bowl for their water, so don't think that this is a little kitty bowl!!) This is a nice heavy bowl. The finish on the inside makes it easy to clean. I also love the outside, neutral finish. This bowl will not tip over. If you plan to use it for a dog bowl, it will stay put and not tip. Back to the size, I'd say it's big enough to hold 4 cups of kibble with room to prevent spilling over. My mutts get about 1.5 cups of kibble at a feeding, and that would cover the bottom of the bowl at about 1 inch depth.

This bowl is very nice. I thought it might be a little deeper, but that's my fault. The bowl is a good size and I do use them. I have large dogs. I was just to cheap to get the larger ones. Lol
BEST for Cat Herd

My large herd of feline rescues REALLY appreciate this bowl for their water. It is low enough to allow them to naturally crouch down to drink and heavy enough to not be tipped. It washes well in the dishwasher.
Do NOT stop selling this bowl! As a plus, it arrived packaged well and in PERFECT condition!
After 6yrs of Daily Spills...

Tuxie is a paw drinker and water dish tipper. This stone bowl is perfect for him. He still drinks off his paw...BUT no more tipped, flipped, drug across my kitchen floor water bowls!! WootWoot!!
Does what it is supposed to do.

It's works, but I thought it would be much heavier, like an old fashioned crock. I was looking for something my cat could not knock over, which he did daily with the stainless one we used before.
The only bowl Elwood will eat out of

My yellow lab is the fussiest of dogs. Must be part cat. He will only eat from his ceramic bowl. I need to have two so I am not hauling it around all the time.
Heavy and nice

I needed a bowl that my growing puppy wouldn’t carry around. This bowl did the trick. I will soon be painting my dog’s name on the side. I also bought a bowl for water. They look nice.
Heavyweight Water Bowl
on Mar 15, 2021
One of my cats recently started knocking over their water dish. It's a popular raised ceramic cat water bowl. I got the 6 cup of this dish and it's perfect. It was less expensive than my other water bowl and significantly more heavyweight. It's a pretty blue but the outside of the dish is not as pictured, it's more grey/brown. Otherwise, a great solution for keeping water in the bowl if you have a problem cat.

I was irritated that my 15 year old cat continued to move the water dish around in order to spill it out. I thought it was because it was low so I bought one that refills itself. That was turned on its side too. Then I read that older cats sight goes some with age and they cannot see close up well. This very wide and very heavy bowl has, so far, solved that problem. not a spill since we started its use. Kitty can drink easier. Its pricy for a pet dish but money well spent for my sanity. Note that we did put the silicone dots under the boot tray to help keep it from sliding around. I've not seen any attempt to move it.

This dish is just right for our dogs. Nothing seems to stick to it even the slobber from the licking of the bottom in which they have plenty of room to do. I can easily wash it or even pop it in the dishwasher. It’s heavy enough and smooth all around so they cannot pick it up or try to make a play toy to out of it.
