Use A Gradual Transition: Introduce the new food progressively over a four day period by mixing it with your pet's previous food. Begin with a proportion of about 25% new food to 75% previous food. Gradually increase the amount of new food and decrease the amount of previous food until you are feeding only the new diet.
Maintain Normal Feeding Patterns: Feed your dog or cat at the same time each day and in the same area. Use the same bowl, and avoid making abrupt changes to feeding routines.
Enhance Appeal: If your pet tends to be finicky about new foods (this is especially common with some cats), you can boost the appeal of the new food by mixing a little warm water with the food or by initially hand feeding a few pieces. If you mix food with water, discard any uneaten portion after 20 minutes to prevent spoilage.

Good food!

I purchased this for one of my Malinois in the hopes that the dental defense actually worked as advertised. He has an issue with plaque buildup. I have to say that I see a big improvement. He is a bit of a finicky dog though, and doesn’t always dive into this. He seems to prefer ProPlan Sport. I prefer that he not have a dental before the age of two so he shall stay on this.

We have been using Eukanuba Premium Performance food in our dog training kennel since 1990. The dogs never have sensitive stomachs. The poos are small and firm (the standard for whether a food is working for your dog). One of the few foods around where we can immediately switch client dogs on to without digestive problems.

My dog has never been healthier

I switched my dog to this formula from the regular adult formula since we're doing a lot of intense activity now. Sylvie, my almost 4 year old springer spaniel, is the healthiest she has ever been. The vet is always very happy with her weight, especially since springers have a tendency to be overweight. Eukanuba's feeding guidelines are very accurate at keeping your dog a healthy weight. The guidelines work well for spayed/neutered dogs since they need less calories even when active. Sylvie always has energy to play and has very regular and healthy bowel movements on this food. Her breath also has close to no smell since I switched to Eukanuba. Plus, the food tastes so good that my puppy and I switched my dog to this formula from the regular adult formula since we're doing a lot of intense activity now. Really not impressed, but my dogs like it

I bought a bag of this in store to try something new and my dogs gobbled it right up so I ordered a second bag on here. Cheaper and convenient. My dogs experience loose stool for usually one day when I change foods, if at all. I gave it an entire bag into the second bag before judging. I am not impressed. Decreased energy, continuous loose stools, dry skin. I also have to feed more of this to keep my active golden full. I gave this 2 stars because they did enjoy the taste but I will not be purchasing again. Back to Purina Pro Plan Sport, my go to.

The best for the best!

We have a female Weimaraner, that is extremely active. We were feeding her a different type of Eukanuba and regardless of feeding her above the recommended amount, she was having trouble gaining weight due to how active she is. Our vet told us about this “sport” edition of Eukanuba and we decided to give it a try. We’ve been feeding her this edition for over a year and she has gained the perfect amount of weight, and absolutely loves the food! She drools hearing the scoop go into the bag, so I think it’s a win!

Tried this product for my dogs. They liked it , just not as much as another brand. It’s so hard to find a dog food that’s flavorful yet good quality. So many pet foods start out great then they start modifying their ingredients. Dogs know when their food has changed!

Our Australian shepherd is 8 and can be kind of picky when it comes to eating dry dog food. Not a problem as she just downed it without any hesitation. Looks like I found a new brand.
