Transition Instructions

Use A Gradual Transition: Introduce the new food progressively over a four day period by mixing it with your pet's previous food. Begin with a proportion of about 25% new food to 75% previous food. Gradually increase the amount of new food and decrease the amount of previous food until you are feeding only the new diet.

Maintain Normal Feeding Patterns: Feed your dog or cat at the same time each day and in the same area. Use the same bowl, and avoid making abrupt changes to feeding routines.

Enhance Appeal: If your pet tends to be finicky about new foods (this is especially common with some cats), you can boost the appeal of the new food by mixing a little warm water with the food or by initially hand feeding a few pieces. If you mix food with water, discard any uneaten portion after 20 minutes to prevent spoilage.

  • Not a winner

I wanted to try something different for my 30 pound mixed shepherd. Unfortunately she doesn't really like this food. She will only eat it when she is starving. Going to try Science Diet (my cats eat it). She seems to love the cat food lol. Her coat and her poops were fine while she ate this though. So I am sure for others it will be a good choice.

  • Eukanuba product

    By on

I didn't pay attention to size of the bag. I own a yorkie poo so this will last him for quite some time. It is a quality product that I cannot buy in the town I live. Package arrived just before I ran out of his other food I had ordered off Chewy. Very happy with service and dog food!

  • Best Limited Ingredient, Easily Digestible Dry Puppy Food!!

    By on

Another more expensive, easily digestible dry puppy food was recommended - but 1-2 times a week, that dry food produced loose and liquid stools. We'd previously fed Eukanuba Lamb & Rice Adult Dry dog food to our adult golden with digestive issues, and wanted see if Eukanuba's Puppy Lamb & Rice Dry dog food gives the same result. And it does! Pupper is now 6 mos. old and has not had a loose stool in the 2+ months she's eaten the Eukanuba Lamb & Rice Dry Puppy... and she LOVES the favor. She enthusiasticly waits for her food bowl to be filled and she thoroughly enjoys this food's flavor. If your adult or puppy has digestive problems or only an occasional loose stool, I would only recommend Another more expensive, easily digestible dry puppy food was recommended - but 1-2 times a week, that dry food produced loose and liquid stools. • Hardly ate other Eukanuba puppy favors

    By on

My dog is very busy and I had a hard time getting him to eat another favor of Eukanuba puppy food. I actually had to hand feed him to get him to eat it. He loves this favor and the smaller pieces work better for him. He actually is eating before he plays in the morning which is a big achievement ! He also eats out of his dish on his own. His coat is silky and he is looking very healthy! Thanks so much for this favor!

  • They're growing

    By on Top 500 Contributor

The puppies love it. They're thriving, growing faster than the weeds in our garden, and that's saying something. The biggest one weighs 15 pounds at 9 weeks, so he'll eat a LOT of this food. I feed lamb & rice because previous dogs of mine were allergic to the chicken and beef in other dry foods. Lamb & rice cleared it right up.

This product may be good, but unfortunately my doodle pups (6 months old) would not eat it.
