This recipe contains approximately 4.0% Fat and approximately 301 calories per can.

Is it normal that this food has bone fragments about the size of half a grain of rice?
Answer by ChewyFeb 22, 2020
These white specs are very tiny pieces of bone fragments. This is very common in wet food recipes. All of the recipes are emulsified through very fine screens which breaks the bone down. The bone will then soften during the cooking process. There is no cause for concern if this is seen in any recipe, and should break easily between your fingers.

Dogs love this!

I’ve had my dogs try a lot of different food. I’m very careful about reading & researching Labels & ingredients to make sure there’s nothing in the food that shouldn’t be there. For instance, CARRAGEENAN, which is a controversial ingredient that can possibly cause cancer, but definitely can cause stomach inflammation and intestinal issues , so I only purchase wet food without it. There’s far more brands that have it in their food than not, and EVANGERS is one. A lot that don’t my dogs turn up their nose but Evangers dog food they absolutely LOVE it! It’s really a great company with Kosher food too, even for Passover.

My overweight 13 yr old beagle loves this food!

We recently adopted a 13 yr old obese beagle who had been fed cheap kibble his entire life. After transitioning over to wet food, and trying several senior products, we settled on Evanger's weight management food because of the quality ingredients, he loves it, and has no digestive problems eating it. Unfortunately, even with strict portion control, he has gained three pounds after being on it for several months. It may be that he has gained weight due to an increase in lean muscle mass, as he does seem to have more muscle definition all over his body. We reduced his portion sizes again, eliminated all high calorie treats, and are feeding him smaller meals more frequently. We are also planning to add whole fruits & vegetables to help him feel fuller between meals. I think that we will be able to make this diet work, given enough time, and making minor feeding adjustments along the way. Next weigh-in at the vet office will tell!

Toothless Yorkie Loves It

I foster-failed an 11-year-old Yorkie who had just had all his teeth removed due to prior neglect. Dog Food Advisor generally gives this brand 4 to 5 stars so I bought a case and he loves it. He dances and whines while I am preparing everyone’s meals and then he tucks in with gusto. His stools look good, too. It’s good going in and good coming out.

Food is Loved

My dog waits for the food bowl to hit the floor and then runs for it. He has it eaten in just about 1 minute. Now he is only getting a teaspoon twice a day and he is a small dog but that is what the vet told me to feed him was about a tablespoon a day so I divided it up to 2 servings morning and evening. I have not had it long enough to say he is losing weight yet but it seems to look like it.

Cardigan Corgis love it!

I share my home with two Cardigan Corgis. My little female is an insulin dependent diabetic and I'm always searching for the best quality and safest food. I have tried Hill's, Iams and several of the prescription diet food for managing gluclose. They were good, but she lost interest in them. I saw Evanger's on Chewys website and thought I'd give it a try. Both my Corgis love it. Take a look at all of the different foods they make and I'm sure you'll find something your four-legged kids will love.

Senior Weight Management dog food

I was pleasantly surprised that my dog actually likes it. I thought I was going to have a very real problem when my vet said he had to lose weight. But I've been feeding both my dogs Evanger's dog food for about a year now, and it's one of the few they will eat. Fortunately for my overweight 14 year old Papillon, this one is also to his taste.

Great Food

Getting something I know my 17 year old Toy Poodle will eat can be a challenge. So I tried Evanger's for Seniors and she loves it. Once she knows it is in her bowl she is head down in her bowl and licks it clean each time. I have even referred this dog food to other senior dog owners in my building as they too have picky eaters.

Love this food!

I was getting desperate to find a dog food that all my dogs would eat and could tolerate. This is the real deal! It even smells good. They love it! Thank you, Evanger's. My picky eater and my little furbaby with a sensitive stomach ate it with no problems.
