    FULL OF FAT AND GREASE

    By on

My dog loves these but Im going to switch over to the pate due to the heavy amount of grease and fat in these cans of thighs. Another thing I noticed is that some of these are filled w other chicken parts outside of the thighs - you can tell by the type of bones they are not thigh bones. Im sure they are ok for the dog but I feel better w the organic ground chicken instead.

Smells a little skunky but our 4 Siberian Huskys have been loving it for years!

We alternate this with Braised Beef Chunks and they have not tired of either in the 3 years we've been feeding them this daily. I agree with others that it is watery but given that it's cooked after packed in the can, that is a mixture of water and healthy chicken juices.(They also have healthy dry food available to them 24/7 so they get the added nutrients that this alone does not provide.)

    Great topper

    By on

My dogs are on a kibble that has no synthetics or fillers. I recently learned that peas used in most grain free foods are not tolerated by some dogs (mine). So this canned food is a healthy topper that when mixed with a little water turns into a delicious gravy.

The best whole chicken thighs no imitation

My 4 huskies and 1 Pomeranian love it. I take the thighh bones and skin out spill some of the fat floating out. I pour the liquid over dry food and split the rest of the chicken.

    Good food, Too greasy.

    By on

My dog loves this food but you could see and smell the clumps of grease and fat in the gravy. I throw away the gravy and water down the chicken thighs a bit so its not so greasy and give it to him with his dry dog food. I give it to him at least once a week so it doesn't give him loose stool. Otherwise, he really loves it.

My dogs are nuts for this!

    By on

It smells and looks terrific. But, the bones scare me. I do crunch them up, which is easy enough to do, but am worried I'll miss one or two and even tho they do crunch pretty easily, I can see how they could get stuck in the throat. Maybe the thing to do, since they adore it, is to pour it into a container, add two or three cans to it, and crunch away. Since this is used to supplement kibbles, one can lasts for both dogs for a full day. When the 2nd meal is coming up, I add hot water to the cold, refrigerated can and stir it around and it's pretty much as great as opening a fresh can. If only Evangers would eliminate the bones, I'd buy this all the time for my German shepherds.

    Looks Like Dinner

I didn’t expect whole pieces of chicken. Whole thighs. What I didn’t expect was whole bones in the meat. The bones are very soft and crush easily with a fork, but this food may not be appropriate for small dogs.

    2 PAWS DOWN

This product is swimming in chicken fat! I tossed the first can out, and will be asking Chewy for a refund.

Excellent food topper - just watch how much you give your dog.

My Boston loves this mixed with her dry food which she has never been enthusiastic about eating. Started to try this as a mixer with her dry food and now she will lick the bowl clean! I only use about 1/3 of the can a day. I don’t think this food is necessarily healthy and there is a lot of gravy/fatty liquid in there which I’m guessing makes it move tasty for the dog - but adding too much will definitely cause a loose stool for dogs. The chicken can be a hit or miss with quantity - some cans have more than others. But I’ll microwave it for 20 seconds then mix it with the dry food and my dog loves it. I’ll refridgerate it over a couple days and it stays just fine. Otherwise I’ll continue My Boston loves this mixed with her dry food which she has never been enthusiastic about eating.
