all the cans were dented
By Michelle on May 4, 2020
When it arrived, like every can was dented :( Of my two cats, one ate it, and the other (pickier one) did not.

My guys hate it
By catgirl on Aug 2, 2018
I bought this because it suited my cat's allergies and was on sale, but both of my cats wouldn't eat it. I ended up donating it to a shelter. It seems very bland and has chunks in water as opposed to a gravy or broth.

Not one of my 10 cats would eat this, nor my sisters 2 cats, I purchased a case of 24, now to figure out what to do with all the cans I have!. I really thought my cat would like it!!

None- Not one

I couldn’t believe that the least pickiest kitty that I have turned her nose on this food. None of my rescues are any of the meat. They just slurped the broth.

From A Proven to be Quality Company

That summary having been said, I shan't be purchasing again for my pride as they will not eat the meat. However! They do like the gravy, lap that all up, including the gravy on the meat. They just won't eat the meat. Oh, well. Am sharing it with less fortunate kitties (that do not customarily receive canned food that is grain, soy, synthetic vitamin k-free, if they get any canned cat food at all).

My cat would not eat this food
By Flemington on Apr 22, 2015
The description of this food sounded interesting and my cat loves beef, so I ordered one case of Evanger's Signature Series Slow Cooked Beef Stew. I tried to feed it to my cat 3 times. He smelled it, licked it once each time and walked away. He would not eat this cat food. I am giving this product a "poor" rating because I my cat refused to eat this food even though he normally enjoys eating beef.

Smoky aroma, lots of gravy
By Tweetymom on Oct 28, 2014
I was surprised by the smoky aroma of this cat food, but both my cats ate it right up. My male, Toby, has an allergy to chicken, and this is a beef-only food (very hard to find). Both cats eat it enthusiastically, and I like the ingredient list and price.

Another superior product !

First, I purchased the Slow Cooked Chicken and all three kitties loved it....next tried this beef....they went crazy...running all over the kitchen counter, meowing....trying to lick the can....This is very similar to the slow cooked chicken in that both are VERY SOUPY and much less thick than stew; however, the broth is excellent for the cats' kidneys and they licked their bowls clean. I do want to note that there is plenty of meat in the can...it is in chunk form...it settles at the bottom of the can with all the broth on top....be careful when opening....highly recommend.....next...going to try the slow cooked turkey....so far, my cats have been very pleased with the Evangers canned and the First, I purchased the Slow Cooked Chicken and all three kitties loved it....next tried this beef....they went crazy...running all over the kitchen counter, meowing....trying to lick the can....This is very similar to the slow cooked chicken in that both are VERY SOUPY and much less thick than stew; however, the broth is excellent for the cats' kidneys and they licked their bowls clean.
