I purchased these for my 15 yr old "Chussel"- chihuahua/brussel mix who has CHF. However, I did not even try them - I am returning them due to salt being listed in the ingredients on the box. I did not see that in the advertisement prior to purchasing them. Taurine is a good for dogs with CHF. However, Salt is a big "no-no"!
Our vet recommended Taurine for our aging dog Charles. I found some freeze-dried powder that had Taurine, but it made him throw up. So I changed to this brand, and it is working just fine.
My dog with left ventricular heart failure was really excited by the smell of this. She devours it, thank goodness. I did not get a discount or free product, just a happy customer.
I got this on sale to try. I have two senior dogs and a one year old. First, the instructions say to massage the packet to mix the peanut butter together. It doesn't work. The peanut butter doesn't have much moisture in it and it kinds of just globs up at the bottom. Second, it smells so bad. I feel my dogs salmon oil which I can tolerate the smell of and this just reeks. Third, it doesn't come out of the package well at all. See prior statement about the peanut butter being a glob. I had to cut the pouch open and try to mix the oil and peanut butter together. In the end I mixed it with regular peanut butter and put it in a kong. My dogs ate it that way, but I sincerely doubt they'd eat this stinky stuff on its own.
My dog eats EVERYTHING...except this supplement. I even tried crumbling it and sneaking it in his favorite treats like bananas and even sardines and he will NOT eat it. Shakes his head and spits it out every time.
EverRoot is an exceptional product that is good for dogs. I use their Heart Health because I own two rescue pups with heart murmurs. Green lipid muscles and taurine are necessary nutrients for all dogs without heart issues. This is a must for any dog.
It definitely made a difference, because the dr said my dog heart was weak at the checkup and I gave him this and within days he was able to run with no problem. Highly recommend it.
I can't say if these work or not. Both of my dogs refuse to eat them and one of them will eat anything. Just wasted that money.
My dog loves to get his EverRoot Dog Heart Health Supplement daily. I chose this supplement to help keep her heart healthy as she gets older, as I have heard about DCM and other heart conditions. I feel good that I am doing something to help his heart by healthy and he loves the taste of these. It is hard to find a brand with all natural ingredients so I was so happy to see that these were. I feel like it has made a difference in his energy levels/endurance, I would say they are helping his heart. He is a smaller breed dog and the chews are fairly large, but I just put it in cream cheese for him. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
My dogs were alittle iffy about this product they spit it out but after I started mixing it with their wet food they didn't notice it was in there. And I love that it contains taurine in it since I have 2 dobermans. It is pricey but plan on continuing them on it with all the health benefits.
