Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time. 1. Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days. 2. Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days. 3. Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days. 4. Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.
Cat loves it, but it gives my cat bad gas and awfully smelling farts.
WITH ALL OF THE SHORTAGES OF PET FOOD, I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET WHAT MY 4 CATS LIKE. THEY ARE VERY PICKY, AND ONLY REALLY LIKE SEAFOOD PATE. I'VE TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES TO GIVE THEM SOMETHING ELSE, AND END UP THROWING IT AWAY. THIS FOOD IS A BIT MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OUR NORMAL BRAND, BUT THE PLATE IS ALWAYS LICKED CLEAN.
I bought this on sale so thought I'd try it with our 6 that can eat a regular diet. I like that it has low ash and the first few ingredients are great but I didn't see any fish oil or any oils, which is good to have for their health and I wasn't fond of the rice. Yet I thought they'd like it but we've tried it 6 times and it's a no go. I'll donate to one of the many rescue groups I advocate for
My cats won't eat it. I will never buy again. It was a waste, I had to throw bowls and bowls of it into the garbage. I have lots of cats, they hated it.
The white stuff should be rice right? That's the only one thing left in the plate:) Smells good and texture is smooth. This is the 8th cat food I've tried recently. It's good, so far my cats love it.
I will not buy again, buyer beware, cats beware. Contains carrageenan, otherwise it would be good. Evolve, take out the carrageenan.
My cats like the Evolve food brand . The Pate has enough juice to make them like it. The ingredients also give a thumbs up.
I rotate foods constantly because they like a food for a couple of cans then look stunned that I bought a case! One of foods they have enjoyed all month.
I tried this because it was on sale. Unfortunately my 5 cats won't even touch it. I open a can when it first got here and not a single one of them would even lick it. So I waited till morning when they are all the most hungry. I had one cat take 2-3 licks but then walked away. No one else would even try. It doesn't have a fishy smell and the consistency is mushy and nice but something about it it Very off-putting to them.
Buster is a diabetic cat. So I have to be very careful as to what I can feed him. No grains or starchy foods. This meat contains rice, but it has not caused any problems with his glucose reading. And along with the chicken & turkey, he gets a varity of food each day.
