I like you can add weight to the base, rocks or sand. We live in a windy place so this is the ticket.
The design is perfect. But our Deer enjoy it mor than the birds. Lol
It is a much darker green than the one-color lime green shown in the main website photo, and looks much more like ceramic in the pic than it is. Cannot get the base to screw into the stem. Did not read close enough to see it was made in China. Will use as a flat birdbath on the ground I guess. Lightweight and size is good so I was hoping to like it.
Birds haven’t found it yet but the dogs think it’s perfect to drink out of.
Beautiful to look at, sturdy, birds like it. Can't be beat. We love it.
I want to love this bird bath, but after having it set up for two weeks not a single bird has visited it to my knowledge. It is heavy plastic and so perhaps it's too slippery for a bird? It looks nice, but I'm disappointed not to have seen any birds use it. (They do use the other clay/ceramic baths around the yard.) Now that I think of it, perhaps the deterrent is the large black cat lurking on the other side of the window from the birdbath...again, want to love the bird bath as it's quite nice. Will continue to keep it well-filled in hopes that a bird actually visits it. (And yes, the cats are strictly indoors-only...maybe a sign to that effect would mollify the birds? Lol...)
The color is rich and looks marbled with out the weight. It is a lovely addition to my flower, rock garden. I added small stones to the base and it has already stood through some spring wind storms! I will be adding water soon for the birds as they come in to nest and have babies!
I received this and took a little while to put up. As soon as it was installed and filled up birds started arriving to make use of it. Because I have bird feeders in my yard lots of them noticed right away. They all seem happy with it.
I have several birdbaths, some heated, some not. But I wanted one that would not only hold a lot of water, but one that I could put a solar fountain into. This birdbath is perfect--I chose the blackish gray color. It looks like it's ceramic, but it's actually a marble swirl heavy plastic that is even better because when the water froze twice recently, it did not crack. I did fill the bottom with sand because it is quite light, but it is a really pretty piece for the garden area and I am very happy with this purchase.
Shocked Chewy had bird baths but this had the look of stone though it is a thick plastic. I filled the base as others suggested with sand to make it heavy.. the too looks great and is a nice size. If you looking for a budget friendly bird bath this it good !
