I used to say my dog would eat anything. Well, that's not true now. I even tried to trick her and mix a couple in with her food. She literally took them out of the bowl and placed them beside it and continued eating her food. They have a strong cinnamon like scent. Maybe she didn't like that.
I was hoping my gang of 4 would really grove on these because I love the ingredients but they were not hugely keen on them. Maybe after a bit of time they will like them better. That happens sometimes.
This review is after my first purchase of this product and I, and my dog, are highly satisfied with this chewy treat. The heart-shaped pieces are a bit larger than some of the other treats, but my dog loves them. The are made in my home town of Milwaukee, Wisconsin for an extra bonus but, finally, the ingredients read "carrot" and "cranberry" not "cranberry flavor", etc so I'm believing these are really wholesome. Either way, it's a unique flavor combo and I have put in a second order for them.
My dog is picky when it comes to treats and due to a kidney issue as a result of a blood disorder, I stopped giving him treats with protein. These have been a nice replacement.
We tried this Harvest Blend "Cranberry N' Carrot" as a new treat and everybody seems to approve! Bite-sized soft and chewy treats keep their shape and our labradors love them as a reward or a bedtime tidbit.
However, the barn dogs gobbled them up. Scottie is fussy
I call her my little vacuum because she sucks up everything-but she won't eat these. She loves other fruit treats and carrots so I thought she'd like these, but no way. To be fair - this is my first time buying this brand but I will stay with the products I know she'll eat. Guess I'll take them to our local shelter. I gave it 2 stars just because it could be her tastes and someone else's baby may love them.
