Single use sterile syringe for the administration of insulin in dogs or cats.
Used sharps should be immediately placed in a sharps disposal container. FDA-cleared sharps containers are generally available through pharmacies, medical supply companies, health care providers and online. These containers are made of puncture-resistant plastic with leak-resistant sides and bottom. They also have a tight fitting, puncture-resistant lid. If an FDA-cleared container is not available a heavy-duty plastic household container, such as a laundry detergent container can be used as an alternative.
Use according to your veterinarian's instructions.
Syringes should be kept out of the reach of children and pets.
These syringes are prescribed by your veterinarian in order to deliver insulin to your pet. Insulin syringes list volume as units. Verify that you are ordering the correct syringe to suit the insulin that your pet is being given. Using an incorrect syringe size will result in incorrect insulin dosing. U-40 syringes are only available with a prescription from your veterinarian.
U-40 syringes are used to administer insulin to diabetic dogs and cats. You should not administer insulin injections until you have been trained by a veterinary professional to give them correctly. It is important that you are using the correct insulin syringe for the specific type of insulin your pet requires. An incorrect syringe size can result in incorrect dosing. All insulin syringes should be properly discarded in a sharps container and should not be thrown away in the trash.
These syringes are terrible. They are super flimsy, bend easily and my cat does not like them. She feels them and complains, she was not noticing the syringes we used before these.
I don't usually write reviews, but these syringes are the worst syringes I've ever used. They are very dull, they don't go into the vial smoothly and they definitely don't go into my cat's skin smoothly. There's a lot of resistance and she can feel it, seems to me like it hurts her. She jerks when the needle goes in which she has never done in all the years I've been using the other syringes. Will not order these again and since the regular syringes are out of stock, I will have to order them from someone else.
the product is just fine. Perhaps i missed something in the fine print? I bought 3 and didn't get 4th bag Free
These worked fine and much more cost effective than getting them from the vet. They aren't as strong though because I lost one because it bent when it was inserted into the vial. May not be strong enough for a large dog with thicker skin but work fine for a cat. I would make sure you insert the needle into the vial completely straight.
The design is very cute but it’s quite small even though I ordered the largest size. Can’t fit most of my dogs toys and he doesn’t have very many. Ordered a different one for the cats toys and that one was bigger than this one despite being a smaller size.
My dog isn’t even a super tough chewer, but this thing last about 30 seconds before he had torn a large hole in the fabric. Super disappointed. If it’s meant to store dog items, it needs to be dog proof.
I ordered these from Chewy who, thank goodness, had them in stock, because my vet couldn't get them anymore. I had bought CAREpoint syringes, that's all they could get, but my Rottie hated them; he jumped every time I stuck him. The Excel comfort point syringes are much easier for him to take and that makes me feel better, too. Chewy saves the day yet again!
Bought these because some of the reviews seemed promising. Bought 3 (10)packs, first pack seemed good but the second and last the needles seem to dull even after drawing up the insulin for my cat making it seem difficult to inject in him. May be affordable but after trying these I’d rather spend the $20-$30 on the kind I get from the vet.
Flimsy, not what I expected. Not happy with the product
I have tried 3 brands of syringes for my diabetic dog. The Exel Comfort Point are definitely better. My dog doesn’t even feel it as opposed to others that would hurt him.
